While there will always be up-and-comers to fantasize about the paradise that awaits once they’ve gotten their big break, those who’ve been there often conclude that the music game’s nothing but a Land of Broken Dreams. On this newly-leaked album cut, D.C.-repping Booth newcomer Laelo comes together with Lyriciss and Kokayi to lace Bad Abbots‘s piano-driven production with disillusioned reflections on the current state of the industry. For more, check out Laelo’s Life in High Definition LP when it drops December 13.

I don't like this beat much and i don't like Laelo's flow on this track either. The chorus saves this somewhat since it sounds somewhat like a Nirvana joint. Not a fan of this track overall.

At first I was thrown off a bit but I get it. If you're used to Laelo then you know this is pretty different. It shows that he isn't opposed to growing and doesn't want to stay in a specific box. Either you get it or you don't. I just happen to be one of those people who do. Lyriciss is a compliment to the track. Totally can see this being played in the background on an MTV show. I like it.
