La Coka Nostra - Bang Bang
Featuring: Snoop Dogg
Producer: DJ Lethal
Album: A Brand You Can Trust
Label: Fat Beats
Hardcore underground hip-hop aficionados rejoice—you finally have a supergroup you can believe in! The entire House of Pain lineup (Everlast, Danny Boy, and DJ Lethal) have joined forces with alumni from Non Phixion (Ill Bill) and Special Teamz (Slaine) to form La Coka Nostra. On the group’s second official single, Bang Bang, Mr. White, Bill, and Slaine showcase the “shoot first, ask questions later” mentality that made them horrorcore legends in the early-to-mid 90’s. Guest feature Snoop Dogg brings some mainstream appeal on the hook, but DJ Lethal’s keyboard-heavy beat is this track’s undeniable highlight. If you’re still jumping around and flying a black helicopter after all these years, be sure to pick up a copy of the group’s debut album, A Brand You Can Trust, which is set for release on July 14th. In the meantime, keep your browsers locked in on our front page—La Coka Nostra may step into the Booth for an exclusive interview.

I was a little weary about this track, but the production is fire. Ill-bill rips it too. Cant believe they're on suburban noize either.. I hat the kotton mouth kings and their label roster in general. until now. 3.5 banger

Is Xzibit in the group? ;)
Nah, this was really good! A fan of the third verse... nice flow! Beat is very well put together, kept me headbanging! Snoop was a great feature cuz he certainly made the hook a catchy part. I felt like the song went too fast... in a good way, I wouldn't mind listenin to more Coka! |

@FredRico - I wish X was in the group, that would be dope!
Solid record, but not better than their original Booth feature (Choose Your Side). All in all, though, you cannot go wrong with Lethal on the boards and Snoop on the hook. |

I agree wit the above cuz Xzibit would of sounded perfect with this type of beat!!
I would rather hear snoop on the verse now a days since his verses don't amaze me anymore as they did back in day!! |

Myself not a huge fan of these kinda "Bang-Bang" talk BUT Let me reiterate, shoot em' up lyrics aren’t that much of a problem with good beats. This one is a
BANGER!!! but (as Z said) this def not better than their original booth feature. |

X sounds hungry! But this sounds like something that would be shelved on a snoop album. I here u trying to bring that west bang bang back. Hopefully the Dr. Dre does!
