Though they have yet to release an LP, La Coka Nostra have already established themselves as A Brand You Can Trust—composed of House of Pain alumni Everlast, DJ Lethal, and Danny Boy, Non Phixion vet Ill Bill, Special Teamz emcee Slaine, and Big Left, the quintet has a hella fide pedigree and connects to match.  For their Booth debut, the collective team up with another proven quantity, UGK‘s Bun B, to issue a hard-hitting hip-hop ultimatum.  Though Alchemist‘s infectiously laid-back sample work gives Choose Your Side a Middle Eastern flavor, this cut’s battlezone theme is more a springboard for lyrical ultraviolence than an opportunity to discuss foreign policy—with rhymes this razor-sharp, though, it’s hard to care.  Everlast’s middle verse boasts both some of the coldest lines I’ve heard in weeks (see: his flawless first eight) as well as some of the most questionable (“Pope John Paul Wall”?  Seriously?), but Bun’s solid opening verse and Ill Bill’s allusive closer (inspired by Ishmael Beah’s Memoirs of a Boy Soldier)  add up to a record that bangs all the way through. For more of the collective’s raw and uncut product, grab a copy of their debut album when it drops July 14th.

Damn, this goes hard. A few questionable lines here and there from Everlast, but great to hear him back on the mic.

Sidebar: Bun B is second to only Ludacris as the "best your money can be" feature artist.

Alchemist brought another hot beat. Do I even need to comment on Bun's performance? Very solid as always. I was very impressed with La Coka Nostra, though. They all went really well with the beat. Great underground cut.

The beat from the Alchemist is a killer as usual, and I love the flavor that the sample adds. Bun B spits a very solid guest verse. Everlast shows exactly why we should be excited he's back at it wit his boys on the middle. Ill Bill came hard to close it... BANGER!

Bun B leads off like Ricky Henderson! The beat reminds me of Dj Muggs. Dj Muggs turned alchemist on to the game. This is refreshing amongst all the snaps. This joint is kinda nice overall.

This is some @ shit without question. That beat is murderous. Bun is one of them cats that just kill everythin@ he spit on. 100% of the time. He could spit to rapid toilet flushes. This is heat. not crazy about the hook thou@h.

Step aside fellas, this one is for ya boy! ...
The beat itself is propane fire - Alchemist is sick with that sample (just randomly picked it from one of many Bollywood Movie)... & as usual BunB rips this track a new as*hole with his lyricism & everybody else kicks it mad hard as well ... Been on a constant repeat since Yesterday ...

Damn! This some underground crack. I dunno why but I love middle eastern samples, like Scott Storch stuff. The Alchemist knows whats up.

Will bang this in my whip.
