I’ve got good news and bad news, Booth readers. Bad news: Kyle DenMead still hasn’t gotten over that breakup from his first feature, The Saddest Part. Good news: Kyle DenMead still hasn’t gotten over that breakup – and he’s written another dope song about it! On his latest single, making its world premiere in the Booth, the Orlando-based singer/songwriter/producer lets the girl in question know just how big a mistake she made in walking out the door: “Leavin’ me is gonna end up drivin’ you Crazy.” Joining DenMead over the Avengerz member’s own atmospherically pop-appealing, synth-driven production is Floridian emcee Nino Blu (not to be confused with Nino Bless, Blu or some cross between the two), who echoes the headliner’s dismissive attitude in a verse addressed to his own ex (but acknowledges that the passion could be rekindled at any time). Kyle DenMead’s determination to usher in a new era of fresh, intelligent pop music clearly hasn’t faded since last we saw him; if you’re digging his left-of-center sound, you’ll most definitely want to grab a copy of his Change of HeART LP when it drops in July.

DenMead's talents, for my money, shine the brightest behind the boards. At times his singing seems to need a little work, but with or without pipes he can carry a tune and for that matter a record.
I am curious to see how many people compare or label Kyle as a "Mike Posner type artist." While both artists are immensely talented, I cannot say there is much about them that is similar (other than their music being deemed urban-influence pop).

Everything about this song to me is decent. The vocal enhancements that DenMead made to his voice through out the course of the song was really annoying to me. The guest feature verse and the production stood out the most to me. I wouldn't listen to this again just for the simple fact that his voice just didn't sit right with me.

Production-wise...five stars, no problem.
I'm not a fan of the hook or Nino's verse, but those are the only drawbacks for me. Otherwise, I don't see Kyle being slept on at all. |

Yeah this sounds like, at best, a reference track for an artist who can actually sing. This is absolutely horrible. Why is this being premiered on the Booth?? Sheesh this is bad

This is OK right here. The Chorus is pretty catchy, but other than that...it's not something I would personally put into rotation. Good Effort though...

I don't like to pile on, but it has to be acknowledge that the man's just not that good of a singer, and least not yet, and I'm not feeling the production as much as others seem to be. Maybe he's got better tracks ahead, but this is a pass for me.
