There’s been a lot of talk about the Illuminati in hip-hop lately, and here to add fuel to that already blazing fire is Kydd, who is sure to get hip-hop conspirators talking with new single The Masons. Fresh off the success of Russian Roulette, for Masons Kydd also jumps behind the boards, lacing an appropriately enigmatic and slowly turning beat with chopped vocal samples and stuttering hi-hats. From there it’s nothing but wall to wall Illuminati raps from Kydd and Dallas duo A.Dd+ filled with symbology and mysterious forces: “Lord knows it was the Masons, the Illuminati, all through my body....” Considering his connections with The Masons, I think we can expect Kydd’s upcoming The Righteous album, due out July 31, to be a powerful force.
