Good news first: Kurupt has teamed up with producer T-Rex for a collaborative full-length effort. The bad news is that the project isn’t set to drop till next year. Those who can’t wait to get their hands on the LP, however, can find an answer to their impatience in the set’s lead single (released early due to a premature leak): “I’ll give you everything you need, All in Time.” It’s hard not to be reassured by the Long Beach legend’s words when they’re being delivered over a beat as relaxing as the mellow mix of piano, brass and warm organ chords his production partner serves up here. As the headliner and guest emcee J-Glaze wax philosophical about life, love and – of course – the therapeutic virtues of good weed, R&B songstress Joy Luv heightens the soulful ambiance with some silky-smooth backing vocals. The end result is so summery-sounding that, for a second there, I felt like I was in sunny California rather than rainy Minneapolis. Ahhh. Anyway, readers can look forward to hearing Kurupt and T-Rex take things To the Next Level in early 2011. In the meantime, fans should watch out for the emcee’s fourth solo album, Streetlights, set to drop (no surprise) on 4/20.

This is soooooo not what I would ever expect from a Kurupt track, but ya know what? Its real good. Overall a smooth listen that grows on you after each listen. Give it three!

I never knew Kurupt would have a taste for slower jams...But this sounds good!

Can't wait for that project to come next year-hopefully he rounds up Snoop & Daz to similarly suit these smooth beats!

Wow, that track Kurupt just did with Snoop, "Cancun", was so bad my expectations for this one were ground level, but this was something fresh. Super mellowed out, soulful, almost jazzy. Well played sir, well played. Alas I'm not high right now, but if I was, I've got a feeling this would be a five star.

I found myself getting lost more in the hook and music than in the actual verses. It ain't a complaint, instead they were smart for letting the beat and hook run the show. This ones perfect for the Summer!

Looks like T-Rex has made some fans inside the Booth. What will we get next from this upstart producer?

I'm with Z on this one. I was like this is a Kurupt record? Just not the sound I would expect from the "Dogg Pound Gangsta". T-Rex and Joy Luv steal the show on this one.

This is a good track to listen to if you're rollin' on e. God damn. You can't help but smile and have a good time. In a car, with this blasting driving around the city around 2:00am @*#$! up and rollin'. Kurupt did it again. Much love for the gay, and yeah, the Joy Love sounded beautiful.
