What does it take to get your mixtape nominated for a Best of the Booth Award? Not only does it have to be dope, it has to be so dope people are still begging for remixes eight months after it’s released. And that’s exactly why Big K.R.I.T.’s K.R.I.T. Wuz Here is in contention for a coveted BOTB Award. Although the original dropped way back in April, mixtape standout Moon & Stars is just now getting the remix treatment. Joining Mr. Krit over the self-produced, superbly mellow beat are consummate smoker Curren$y, who fills his 16 with THC-soaked rhymes (surprise), and Killa Kyleon, who returns from an extended DJBooth hiatus (his last appearance was ‘07’s Swagger) to give the record a change of pace with a tightly wound guest verse of his own. Do I even have to ask? I do? Very well then – which is doper, the original or the remix? We’ll find out soon in the comments below. The original was a BANGER with Devin The Dude riding shotgun, but this "remixed" version with two new collaborators is even better. And let me clarify - I don't think this a "classic" record in the sense of the word, but its better than a "4" rated-song and there is only one other option on our ratings scale.

Great track by K.R.I.T. and the remix is definitely better. Like Z i don't think that this is a "Classic" song but it's better than a 4, and i don't want to be the one to end the streak of 5's.

I gave the original 5 stars and I'm confident about that rating.
The remix wasn't as good in my opinion but it didn't ruin it by any means. Big K.R.I.T. is my favorite of all the new guys. Everything he does is quality. |

is this a remix? really? to me its more like a "extended" version. with most remixes you have a change of beat, rhymes, arrangements etc etc. however with all that said i LOVE this track just as much as i do the first one. hey this an idea just add all verses together and make this one dope a@# track! BIG K R I T is one of my favorite undergroung artis right now i hope he blow up!

I really liked the original version. It was a banger for me, cuz i liked everything the song had. The production was great and the flow and energy just really connected to me.
Now that they "remixed" it and added stuff and made it that much better, its a 5 star song, not a "classic". |

The production is something worthy of a banger status, but i think that big K.R.I.T miight have been the wrong choice for this track. His vocals just dont blend well with this production.

of course krit wuz here was classic but this doesnt entirely impress. neither of the new verses are anything special lyrically and neither of them fit the beat quite like devin the dude does on the original

@ the149th...WTH you smokin' on? KRIT was not the right choice for this beat? KRIT produced the track! If anyone's gonna sound good on a KRIT beat, you'd think it would be KRIT, himself. Now if you would have said Killa, I would've agreed, but nah KRIT kills it like always.
