Ladies and gentlemen, making its world premiere right here on DJBooth.net, may I present to you Kovas’ brand new cut, Wax On Wax Off (Remix). In addition to a deeply layered beat from Kovas himself that’s a seamless mix of Middle Eastern influenced percussion and The Neptunes-esque electro-club synths, Wax On Wax Off features vocal work from Texas’ Chingo Bling, the Bay Area’s Mistah F.A.B. and Mass. femcee Nyne West, a national alliance that even Mr. Miyagi would be proud off. They say the sequel’s never as good, but I’m digging the remix’s emphasis on mic skills enough to put it above the original in my playlist.
