Look out world, Chicago hip-hop’s scene has a few new permanent residents. Previously featured inside our DJBooth this past June, with their futuristic-hipster take on receiving text messages, the Ko*Starz are back to unload a second musical U-Haul. On New Neighbor, group members Young Starr, K Rich, and R.Dott all introduce themselves, explaining what makes them each unique and why the neighborhood might need to get used to their long-term presence. Produced by R.Dott, the track mixes elements of electronica and snap music, sharply emphasized with a bass-heavy synthesizer. Co-signed by fellow Chicagoans The Cool Kids, these three young emcees are looking to boost the value of their real-estate in a tough market; are you a buyer or a seller?

yo dat pic iznt cool- itz down right CORNY but wuteva...n-e-way... i kinda lyk thiz...itz a lil plain- i wish they wudnt have made it sooo boring and switched it up a lil but i can digg 4 now i guess...i mean, i lyk all of their flowz n-everything but yeah, kinda boring. in rotation.

Wow, WOW:, you are smoking. That's pic is mad creative. These guys are on some Neptunes/Charles Hamilton pink pills. I can dig it. Man....everybody eclectic seems to be connected to "The Cool Kids". I like the original subject matter and their aim to be different . I'm not really digging the drum kit used on the production though. Everything else is pretty interesting though. I'll throw it in rotation.

i kinda agree about the pic being corny...looks like someone had only 3 mins on the photoshop and this is what came out...3 dudes floating in the air touching some funky colors..but whatever...this simple beat actually fits nicely with their flows but the content is kinda boring

hahahaha I don't understand this discussion about the pic...who cares LOL! This track is original and could work in the clubs in my opinion, but I'm not mad for it. If I added it to my mp3 player I'd listen to it once and then I'd always skip...after a while it's boring! But, again, in the clubs it can be thrown in rotation

this song is pretty dope. delivery matches the beat to a "T". would like to hear more of them. oh and whoever said that pic is corny (yea they should shut up and open up their minds). If kanye west put his face in that pic they would be all over it. So yes...its a classic.

Although I despise the chorus (there are better ways of introducing yourselves than repeating it in the chorus, annoying as all get out), I'm lovin the beat, fits my style, wanna hear this one on real speakers. aside from the chorus, the lyrics are good too.

BANGER!!!!! This song is hot PERIOD! yes the beat is simple but it's still dope! Especially that "juke" break down toward the end, I mean be real with yourself you ALL know you'd get in to this if you heard it in the club! Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the whole point of this song to introduce each member?! CLEARLY the Ko*Starz did a great job of accomplishing that goal...but yooo how could you HONESTLY say that pic is corny?!
