Kon Boogie - About My Business
Artist: Kon Boogie
Featuring: Silent Knight
Producer: Kon Boogie
Album: My Glorious Imperfection
Label: Beautiful Struggle
Some artists are about the women, some are about the fame, but Corona Queens-based emcee/producer Kon Boogie is only about one thing, his business. For his DJBooth debut, About My Business, the aptly-named Boogie crafts a beat that’s equal parts retro and modern, laying bouncing percussion over a grounded piano line. On the mic not only does Kon nail the flow that an instrumental like this demands, his longtime collarborator Silent Knight follows with an equally precise verse on the close. After hearing how Boogie conducts his business you can officially consider me one of the many awaiting the release of his currently unscheduled My Glorious Imperfection album.

I like the beat by itself and I like Kon Boogie's flow by itself, but I'm not really feelin the combination of the two... That's pretty odd since he made the beat too... It's ok.

I thought it was pretty good except the hook. I was not to big on the hook to the song. But the beat and his rhymes was pretty good.

love the beat, love the hook, and i love kon boogie's flow! when i see him perform this live, especially with his band...i see the crazy reaction from the crowd..i see everyone dance and sing along. i think this song has the potential to go mainstream. unfortunately there's this garbage sound people are accustoming themselves to because of what RADIO is leading you to believe is hot. don't get caught up in the hype! i've been a follower of kon's and silent knight's for a lil while now, and ever since...i've been hooked! when you see these two pack out venues, and have their fans chant their names because they don't care about the person who's on stage now they WANT K-O-N or SK, shows you these two have what it takes to kick you out of this horrible hip hop trans and into the light of better quality music! just my opinion *shrugs*
