Shoddy romantic behavior seems like a running theme in today’s Booth lineup. Parable vs. Mac Soto‘s Soul (also featured on our homepage) found the NYC rhymesayer and Southern singer/songwriter/producer copping to their callous treatment of women who loved them, and on Knowledge Medina‘s latest feature— a world premiere—the South Floridian emcee does… pretty much the same thing. On newly-leaked EP cut You Don’t Really Care, project collaborator Numonics’ chopped soul samples set a rueful mood as Medina looks back on the pain and suffering he caused his girl. Even so, she held him down through it all. Pleading for the woman in question to let bygones by bygones and take him back one more time, he nonetheless admits, “If you’re a woman, I probably don’t deserve too many chances I didn’t earn.” Will the emcee succeed in rebuilding those burnt bridges? We can only speculate. Either way, though, those digging this poignant jam won’t want to miss the rest of the fresh tunes to be found on Medina and Numonics’ Never Enough EP, scheduled to drop February 7.

Nice record from Knowledge and Numonics. If you are not a fan of story-telling rap you might find this selection to be a tad boring, but if actually listen there is plenty to enjoy. I've said it before, but its worth re-pointing out what a great job Numonics does playing the perfect accompaniment to an emcee's vocal tone and flow tempo.

I can really relate to this song and very good imagery. kind of pictured a video while listening to the lyrics. dead or alive was sick too, can't wait for the ep. salute

Real life hip-hop, I can dig it! Numonics crafts a soulful but balanced record to allow Knowledge to get some things off his chest that we can all relate to...great chemistry, great record - I can dig it!

dope song, corrections on the lyrics though its" and your a woman i don't deserve, too many chances that i didn't earn " this track is meaningful to myself and Knowledge as it speaks about issues in our relationship. Many of yall can relate to the lyrics both females and males... Numonics killed it with the production.. Good work ya!! peace!!!

I like this right here. I like the board-work by Numonics. I'm loving the sounds used in the beat. Knowledge Medina has a great flow on here and the chorus reminds me of Mobb Deep type $hit. I like this a lot. BANGER!

I did like the storytelling, but it did seem to lull and lose my interest at times because it is a type of song and story I've heard variations of several times before.
Solid enough though. |
