Though Atlanta is currently mainstream hip-hop’s biggest “industry city,” it also boasts a thriving underground scene.  With the May 19th release of the Underground Atlanta Compilation, listeners worldwide will get a glimpse of this underrated but equally noteworthy side of A-Town.  One cut off that album showcases the talents of three Aquemini/Purple Ribbon alumni: Killer Mike, C-Bone, and Slimm Calhoun.  Before you cast judgment on Hoe’s, consider that the word isn’t being used to mean “loose woman,” but rather “thing” (as in “Superman dat hoe”).  Out of computer speakers, B Don [for DMG/Legend Factory Studio South]‘s beat might sound rather boring, but, to quote Killer Mike’s manager, “You need [sub]woofers to enjoy this track.”  If you’re lucky enough to have a pair hooked up to the CPU, then you’re going to LOVE this.

This track is Ok... Maybe wit the subwoofers it would be better, actually I know I would have rated it a 3 if I heard it in a car stereo system. Anyway the flows are great and I like the vibe, but the subject matter gets boring and it gets repetitive.

The only song of Killer Mike that i have really liked was 2 sides, and this wont change my opinion of him.

As for this song, look at Juanito_88's comment & you'll know what i think of the song. Ill put in rotation, though it wont get played all that often (if at all)

So, does this mean Killer Mike is giving up on his 'American-pride' theme?

When Mike's manager sent me this record, I received its message loud and clear: “You need [sub]woofers to enjoy this track.” Since I don't have woofers on my desktop speakers (although they are very nice - thanks, Sony) I put it on my MP3 player and took into the car (where woofers do indeed exist). Needless to say, the man wasn't lying.

Mike is capable of more (and I wish he was solo here), but for a comp disc inclusion this is solid.
line

always thought killer mike was one of the most underrated rapper of the new century... i enjoyed his last album effort, despite its minor commercial success, but i have to say this sound a bit repetitive and not very catchy. 3 stars just for KM verse...

The beat, though kinda slow, is good...but the overall song is repetitive! I'm not feelin him at all...I can't see the point on this song, it isn't catchy, I don't think it could go in the clubs, but neither on the radio
