Killer Mike - I'm A Fool
Artist: Killer Mike
Featuring: Big Kuntry King
Producer: Nard & B
Album: Undrground Atlanta
Label: GTO/Grand Hustle
With the rate at which hip-hop artists are flipping previously-insulting words into compliments, I’m beginning to worry that we’re running out of ways to say something is bad—not bad-meaning-good a la Michael Jackson, just bad. Of course, that’s not a concern when it comes to this newly-released cut; I’m A Fool is just plain stupid—that is to say, it’s good. Currently being promoted as the lead single off Killer Mike‘s Underground Atlanta compilation album, IAF finds Mike and Grand Hustle labelmate Big Kuntry King detailing their absolutely ridiculous (as in ‘cool’) day-to-day activities over a trunk-banging beat by fellow A-towners Nard & B. While Big Kuntry’s swagger-drenched second verse is pretty terrible (that is to say, it’s fresh), the headliner’s hyperkinetic flow on the back end accounts for this record’s worst (best) moments. If this dumb (bangin’) single is any indication, the Dirty South streets can look forward to one catastrophically awful (absolutely great) listening experience when Underground Atlanta drops this summer.

Richard's intro almost made me fall out of my chair laughing. How true. As far as dirty south street music is concerned, you'd "be a fool" not to enjoy Mike and Kuntry. Killer Mike has to be one of the most time-after-time underrated emcees in the game.

This track was pretty solid. The production had that ATLien vibe to it wit those eerie sound effects. Killer Mike normally impresses me, and his second verse was pretty impressive. I wasn't feelin BKK, and the hook was just aight.
Oh, and A++ for richard's review! lol |

Glad Killer Mike is goin back to his style over those political records that didn't really get him anywhere. This was a HOT southern record right here. I just with he was still rockin with Outkast so we could get Big Boi on the remix!

I don't wanna hear Killer Mike on those type of beats. He's lyricall for the most part, I think he should stay away from cheap south sounds like 808's. He needs more classic, musical stuff

Most of my friends (non hip-hop listeners) are pissed off at me as i took their dislikin as "HATE" & the remaining ones are concerned about my health more than me as it seems i've been using DOPE and CRACK more than i should be BUT the real culprit is the hook on "Every Girl" ....
The beat is southern standard as well as rappin found within. OK |

Where is Jezzy? This is his type beat. I know I've heard this many times before typical trap rap. I'm kinda tired of it to be honest...

Good production! Really catchy, it makes me move. He also sounds good. Anyway I wouldn't add this track to my mp3 player...something tells me that after a few times I'd be bored by it!

Always like it when Killer Mike comes to The Booth. Agreed that Mike is incredibly underrated. Sad. @cb126405 - The days when he was banging with Outkast were na-ha-hasty.
