Following his city-reppin’ single, 2 Sides, rapper Killer Mike is back in the Booth with a brand new joint from his much-anticipated sequel album, I Pledge Allegiance 2 The Grind II. Over a classic Biggie sample (from Kick In The Door), the Atlanta native and Grind Time General shows off his career progress, detailing the transition from earning 10 G’s for blow, to a more lucrative 30 G’s for a show. Accompanied by producer Sears‘s heavy bass-keyboard combo (loud enough to shatter many a car window), 10 G’s will undoubtedly be a hit among Killer Mike’s intended audience - those on their grind. I Pledge Allegiance 2 The Grind II will be released on July 8 and Mike will be inside the Booth for an interview next week.
HOOK IS NICE! This gon bang in the subs. Sears did the thang! I wouldn't have this in regular rotation in my regular listening, but rolling thru North side Minneapolis with the windows down, I'd rock with this! I'll throw it in rotation tonight due to the superb production and engineering. Great Job!
What's going on with the booth today. The picks for tonight have been satisfying. Burmy got this one right: "Killer Mike’s intended audience - those on their grind." A hustler's theme song.
Another song which isn't my type, but well done, with good music and a good beat. I'm not so sure I like him, he's a bit annoying to me! It's in rotation, but not my taste
Yea this that get money muzik right here perfect for the summer..Killer Mike is one of the best out the ATL has been for a long time, too bad him and Big Boi fell out..
THA BOY TOLD A DOPE STORY!!!! THIS IS NOT CLUB MUSIC ITS RIDER MUSIC!!!! AND JULY 8 UM RIDING WITH KILLER. THANK U KILLER KILL.....5 STARS IN MY BOOK!!!
its ok. he shoulda said the words of the chorus over the sample instead of just making the sample the chorus. I liked his verse on Chamillionaire's Southern Takeover
The beat knocks and Killer Mike does a good job on here, have been a fan for awhile but his last album wasn't that good in my book this track is a banger though.
Beat is nice....this is what I thought Killer Mike needed more of when he was wit Outkast....they always had him on some corny stuff....he reeally nice lyrically when given the chance...to me he was one of the best features on Never Scared by Bonecrusher....
Yo! This song right here is the kind of music i can wake up to! it has that hustler vibe to it so it can givu that extra push to do wat u have to do! Keep doin ya thang Killa!
