If you don’t immediately recognize Kida’s name, don’t worry; you will soon. Making his solo debut on our pages just a week ago with his Booth approved What Is It Now, Inglewood native Kida is on a mission to make sure everyone knows his name, a mission that has resulted in his latest offering We Made It. The eighth track off his daily Who Is Kida? series, We Made It features a beat from frequent production partner TheRealFocus… that’s at turns operatic, dreamy and strictly street, the perfect backdrop for some vocals from Marsha Ambrosius (who for my money is the most underrated singer alive, although personally I’d prefer if her work here was less produced). More importantly, Kida proves that he’s got some serious rhyme skills, detailing the peaks and valleys of a rocky relationship that’s emerged intact. For more from Kida stay tuned to his Who Is Kida? series – with tracks like these it’s only a matter of time before he’s a household name, at least in hip-hop homes like mine.

Kida and Focus have a real nice chemistry.

I agree with Nathan, Marsha has a great voice - but it doesn't sound natural here. Wish they would have just left her vocals alone.

Kida has more to offer... I want to hear it out of him next time around.

I'm w Z, the chemistry here felt right. The beat was pretty cool, simple but different. I can dig this, flow was proper.

Overrall the song was decent. Kida sounded dope over the beat with a cool flow but the gun cock, which at first was nice, got annoying. I love Marsha's voice to death but hear it sounds tired or damanged, which brings down the song.

3 stars, for some reason it's not letting me rate this song.

The beat is kept to a bare minimum while Kida spits solid rhymes. Rotation-Stuff.

I love Marsha!!
I agree she is very underrated!!
The beat is very dark imo which doesn't fit the "we made it" subject!!
Rotation....

This was aight. The beat was tight but he could have thrown some more percussion in there. Kida was solid and Marsha sounded pretty good. Rotation.
