Just how many guest verses can you fit into one remix without breaking the five-minute mark? On his first Booth feature, Inglewood emcee Kida attempts to answer that very question. With a whopping nine verses (counting the headliner’s bars) and a 4:38 runtime, this version of mixtape track Holla! is about as packed as a late-sixties telephone booth. Seige‘s minimal boardwork (featuring samples from Missy Elliot‘s hit single Get Ur Freak On) sets the stage for a parade of big names. After Kida’s opener Busta Rhymes, Rapper Big Pooh and Phonte of Little Brother, Kurupt, Crooked I, Talib Kweli, Jay Rock, and Willie B. each get their eight bars in the spotlight. Just about everyone should be able to find something to like here, but a few questions remain – the first, obviously, being “Who comes out on top?” Second, and perhaps more importantly, does this star-studded remix leave the headliner enough room to make an impression on first-time listeners? As always, Booth readers get to be the jury. If you like what you’re hearing, download a copy of Kida’s DJ Skee-presented The Endemic mixtape when it hits the ‘net later this month.

I usually don't like when an artist crams 5-8 artists on a record (cough cough, Khaled) because it becomes very very saturated with mediocre rhymes and rushed deliveries. Aside from the slightly whack sped up Missy sample, this bang. Everyone showcases their skills; they get in and get out very smoothly.

Kida, whats up next fam? I need to hear a solo joint!

I can't say Kida won me over, I honestly barely know who he is even after listening to this, but it almost doesn't matter. Every other rapper kills this, most prominently Crooked I. That man's on a mission. Definitely a banger.

Yes, hip-hop world 2012 is fast approaching, so unite, get-together and do this! (A collective effort of young, up and coming new artists with well-established veterans) more often than not.

Over an entrancing Seige's production, has a nice bounce to it and the Missy Elliot sample flip bumps it up to multiple-spin status for me.

The Inglewood bred upstart "Kida" kicks an opening verse that's somewhat noteworthy, while "Busta" and "Talib" also make a good showing.... But who am I kidding right? If your like me, than the
reason you tuned in was to see if "Little Brother" would spazz out and drop something memorable... LOL, no disrespect to Kurupt, Talib, Busta and Crooked I fans... The answer is they make rapping sound so easy on this one. "Kurupt" was somewhere in between, but it wasn't a bad showing by any means.... Both "Jay Rock" and "Willie B" rhymes a nice line or two, or at least just hold their own.

Crooked I is obviously gaining a lot of traction and this is yet another strong showing that proves he IS definitely the next up when it comes to West Coast MC's in the game.

This is okay but I was hoping the verses would hit harder. Busta and Jay Rock got with it but the others were lacking. Overall good sound. . . love the Missy sample.

The only reason I even listened to this one was because it was featuring Little Brother and Talib Kweli. I love Little Brother, they're one of my favorite groups. But I'm glad I listened to this track, because it's a BANGER!
