Contrary to popular belief, an artist’s biggest fans aren’t the starstruck teens who leap onstage to get a glimpse of the artists whose posters live on their bedroom wall. In reality, the biggest fans are those drunk on Haterade, the ones too intoxicated to admit their admiration. Fortunately, up-and-comer Kida can see straight into the hearts of his haters, and sends a much-deserved shout-out to them over a pulsing, glittery melody on his new single Ain’t Nothing. Producer TheRealFocus…, whose stomp-clap rhythm and self-assured guest vocals propel the track to “that’s my jam” status, is more than qualified to complement Kida’s undeniable flow, and the two frequent collaborators combine for a track that’s far more than nothing. If you find yourself hating, I mean loving Kida’s lyrical agility, don’t hesitate to add his upcoming album, The Endemic, to your collection, which is set to drop next week right here on DJBooth. It’s a good thing haters will always be around…they inspire greatness.

The last few features we ran on Kida were nothing more than above average mixtape inclusions, which unsurprisingly didn't garner much discussion on our threads. On "Ain't Nothing," Kida and Focus make their mark. The beat is addictive, the flow is propulsive, and the vibe is very enjoyable. I'm a fan of this record.

The instrumental is repetitive and boring after a while, when he exercises his vocal range it doesnt sound good. He's got put another layer on the beat.

Most, if not all, of Focus' beats are one repetitive loop played over and over again. There are not many additions to the beat after that original loop. Just saying.

Production stays pretty simple, maintains a basic loop underneath but never gets boring, atleast for me. And Kida thrown against a bouncy composition, rides it well. Rotation-Stuff.

Really not About Da Beat being repetitive, its about song structure and arrangement(s), This Song seems properly arranged and listenable to the ears, Most important the Vibe has an undeniable groove to it. We aint just listening to the track by itself, so it dont matter if beat is repetitive, The aranagement (vocals) take cares of that matter, This song goes Hard!
