Markham, Illinois doesn’t exactly seem like the best place to get your daily dose of hip-hop, but 28-year-old Melissa Young is looking to change that. Known to the masses as Kid Sister, the Fool’s Good/Downtown Records star hit it big with her ‘07 smash, Pro Nails, featuring Kanye West, and she intends to keep the momentum going with her newest single, Get Fresh. Produced by XXXChange and DJ A-Trak, this bass and drum-heavy record with a Caribbean twist will lead into the release of her debut album, Dream Date, which is still set for release on November 25, despite rumors of delays. As the Chi-Town Northsider continues to take the music scene by storm by rocking parties and causing all-around dancefloor chaos from the U.S. to Europe, new listeners should begin to appreciate the funketeer’s unique style and sensibility.

Mami's 28? I woulda thought she was more like 18. That 's was up. I like the production here. Her flow is good for what she was tryna accomplish here. Something to play in the club or while you stuntin in the whip. That hook beat change really makes this one worth it for me.

Yeah. I didn't think she was no 28! She seemed more like 23 or something. This joint is a phreshy (yeah, I said phreshy) stunting joint. I don't personally like it as much, and I agree that the chorus sample in the music should have been throughout the track. But this is decent and I'll definitely throw this in rotation.

Reppin' Chi-Town all day long. This is NOT me being bias in any way - well, maybe a little - but Kid Sis has the flavor and the talent. "Get Fresh" is exactly what the title says it is, FRESH.

This is a lil 90s...on the first listen I must say I wasn't impressed by this song but now I think it will BANG in the clubs, it has sooo much energy in it, in Italy we say "it splits" (I don't know what's a similar concept in English)! Banger!
