I don’t know if it’s the high altitude, stewardesses or in-flight meals, but something about air travel gets Bronx emcee The Kid Daytona going. This past summer he released an album titled Come Fly With Me, which included the aptly named track, Air Born. On his newest single, 1st Class Upgrade, Daytona takes on a different aspect of traveling - the coveted upgrade. Produced by Booth favorite 6th Sense, the track starts with a stewardess telling Daytona he has a new seat and then flows into the energetic beat. Daytona’s flow is smooth as he drops pop culture references over the organ and percussion heavy sound. Although the first two are strong, a third verse could have made the track a fantastic one, instead of just a pretty good one, but the way Daytona maintains his flow while the beat switches up speed should be more than enough to win him some new fans. 1st Class Upgrade isn’t currently part of any official project. Stay tuned to DJBooth.net for all the latest.

Really, all I am saying is... Daytona and 6th Sense need to make music together more. That's all.

Daytona - all that food talk has me hungry for some pilaf.

1) Wow, you don't see a lot of rappers rocking Angeles hats.
2) Why don't the flight attendants on my flights sound that hot, and serve rice pilaf.
3) This production is pistachios, one of the best beats I've heard in a minute, and Daytona more than holds his own over it. Lovin this track right here, might be my favorite of the day. "Won't let a b**tch Steve McNair me"! Ha!

This is pretty good!!
Beat sounds good but it sounds like the same instruments were used to mimic the sound of D.O.A. for some reason!!
Maybe it's just me!!

It's a 6th Sense beat yo!

Daytona's metaphor-filled verse were tight too. Rotation-Stuff.

Could have done w/o all the dialogue @ the beginning but I guess they had to set it up. 6th Sense put his stamp on that track. Luv'd that. It's get'n rotated.
