Kid CuDi - Make Her Say ft. Kanye West & Common -
Artist: Kid CuDi
Featuring: Lady Gaga , Kanye West , Common
Producer: A-Trak
Album: Man on the Moon: The End of Day
Label: Universal Republic
Unfortunately for those who thought She Came Along, Kid CuDi‘s recently-featured collabo with Deep Dish producer Sharam, was a little too left-of-center, the newly-released Make Her Say has a similarly off-the-wall (if slightly less bewildering) vibe. This time around, the up-and-comer’s freewheeling sexual banter is backed by an A-Trak instrumental that samples Lady Gaga‘s hit single Poker Face—not the danceable original, though, but a bouncy acoustic revamp that finds the electropop songstress sounding a little Lykke Li-like. CuDi sets the tone with his innuendo-packed opening bars before ceding the mic to label boss Kanye West, who asks a female to “use her medulla oblongata” on his similarly singsong second verse. On the back end, Common spits his own allusive brand of game, as well as poking fun at his ‘socially-conscious’ reputation. Man in the Moon: The End of Day will be released on August 25th; Make Her Say is sure to heighten anticipation among listeners with a taste for bubbly hip-pop concoctions.

This is fresh KiD CuDi is alright but I love Kanye on this. He is killing it right now and his verse on this is hot! Common rides the beat good too and I like the way they use Lady Gaga's voice in the song. Banger!

This is a pretty cool concept to mix up the pop song. I thought the production was a little below average on here but still fresh nonetheless. Was just expecting a little more from Cudi and Kanye's first major callabo.

I might be getting some criticism on this, but I was not feeling this. Kid CuDi was only OK. Kanye and Common were decent, but I wasn't feeling the overall vibe of the track. It was OK.

I just love this type of vibe, so I guess I'm biased. The production is hot, and works perfectly on the hook wit the sample. CuDi's flow is exactly the quirky kind that this track needed, and Kanye brings a new dimention to the track. Common's verse was pretty funny. I could have done witout the last part from Gaga, but I love the "oh-oh, oh, oh!"

I think its clever how he changed Poker Face into Poke her Face. There's something about vulgur songs that instantly attract me to them. I don't really care for Kid Cudi but the title of the song alone made me want to check it out. Then you have Lady Gaga on here whom i love and Kanye & Common are always good in my book. I really like the vibe I get from the song it has like a 1920s feel to it. Mainly because of Lady Gaga's part then it infuses an 80s hip hop vibe to it. I really like it. Common & Ye's part were my favs. Wait I liked the whole song! I'll have to give it 5 stars because i feel like playing it over & over.

These three without Lady Gaga-garbage should head back to the studio and try again. Disappointed in this collaboration, I expected more than this (in terms of substance). However, the production was solid. Hold up!!! I liked the change in tempo at about 3:15 with Lady Gaga's add-in. Lol I'm having a change in opinion, this is not bad (Lady Gaga, you have been pardoned).

Clever twist to the OG ... I just didnt get too into the vibe on the hook ... CuDi's flow is kinda fun to hear ... & kanye smashed this track wit 'I love college' line ... but Common's verse is the best part to me ...
Judging from the above feedbacks, i can already tell its gonna be another case of Hit or Miss wit ppl/members ... |

CuDi killed it!!! Kanye killed it!!! You get the point.:P
The flow is AMAZING, the sample is clever, I can see this getting a bit of rotation, although I don't see it as a single. |

Not a huge fan of this & I was expecting a lot more considering it was Kanye West & his proteges first major collaboration. The production from A-Trak was the main problem I had with the song, It wasnt good enough considering the major names on the track. 2.5
The best Kid CuDi song ive heard lately is 'Look Up In Da Stars' featuring Wale, that leaves this track for dead |

Creative concept, nice sample-job, enjoyable scratches, and pun-filled verses from three talented emcees.
Not sure why anyone should be terribly "disappointed" in this collabo - clearly this is all about having a good time; don't take it too seriously. |

You know I'm a hu@e fan of all three MC's but this son@ is alil weak. Call me a man with no vision, but I just found this one alil obnoxious. I expect more when I see this line up here. F this one, I wanna see that smash track, "look up in the stars" by Cudi feat Wale. That son@ is insane and a half.

I love Cudder and Kanye, and they brought some creative verses, but overall it just didn't work for me with the Lady Gaga collabo. I've been trying to get behind this one, but just can't.

@ Macli - I was talking more along the lines of Kid Cudi being Kanye's protege, I know Common was around years before Kanye ever got big (they've been on a fair few major tracks in the past anyway).
Kanye has all but said that he feels Kid Cudi will be the next big thing in music & has been mentoring him very closely in his G.O.O.D. Music label. |

There's been a lot of hype about this one all over the net. Personally, I think its good; not quite up to par with what each individual artist is capable of, but good nonetheless. Its in rotation for sure; may become a banger if I listen a few more times but, as of now, It's just enjoyable.

KC gets outshined here by the senior lyricists as both Kanye and Common drop some great bars good for a few laughs. I agree this that is one of those "we're all just having fun" joints in memory of "drunk and high girls" and "get 'em high." I kinda like the production and use of the downtempo version (haven't we all heard the orginal enough!?!?) It's pretty good for what it is and it's great to hear those three together....hopefully more to come.
It sure as hell ain't no "she came along" though...that's the ONE right there. |

Cudi is def the future, this definitely proves it, although not to the caliber of Ye and Common as also proven on the track. But this is def new and fresh, I dig it

GaGa is annoying as hell. I've heard her WAY too many times on the radio. And she's horrible live. But she's nice when you don't give her a verse. Keep her in the hook/chorus. Everybody was aight on this, for it being kinda like a "we bullsh*tted this track" kinda track. Production is bangin though. I'll call it 3.6, but...eh, what the hell. I'll round it up. Call it Banger.
