Kid British - You Against The World
Artist: Kid British
Producer: Kid British
Album: You Can't Please Them All
Label: LAB Records
There are likely very few DJBooth debut’s that can be described as being “bittersweet,” but such is the case for Manchester foursome Kid British and their feature single You Against The World. The music video for the record follows news of the group disbanding and likely serves as the last visual release from the contingent as a whole. Set in a coastal, British town the melancholy You Against The World is both haunting and captivating as the quartet’s vocalists croon their worries away on the song’s uplifting, underdog-centered hook while the group’s resident beatsmiths put in work behind the boards. You Against The World is featured on Kid British’s You Can’t Please Them All EP and the quartet plans on taking part in one last musical hurrah during their Farewell Show on December 14 in Manchester.

I'm not really into this one, but the message is pretty cool. It's OK...

Heavier pop-leaning record here, but has mucho replay-ability, mainstream appeal and is an easy listen.

I like this song. its good enough for 3.5 stars but Im missing the connection between the album cover to the song/music video. It must have a deeper meaning but anyway I feel a tiny hint a reggae beat in this song which I always like

Wasn't expecting a pop song, but it's not that bad. Nice vocals on this. The pop beat is not that bad either, as it doesn't sound generic or anything. I could give this another listen.
