Keyshia Cole - You Complete Me
Artist: Keyshia Cole
Producer: "THE-RON" Feemster and Ron Fair
Album: A Different Me
Label: Geffen
On December 16, Keyshia Cole will release her third studio album. Although the project is titled A Different Me, the Grammy-nominated singer/songwriter is hoping to achieve the same success that she saw on her sophomore project, Just Like You, which spawned three #1 singles (Let It Go, I Remember, and Heaven Sent). Following the 2pac-featuring Playa Cardz Right, the Oakland native has chosen You Complete Me as her next single. Produced by “THE-RON” Feemster and Geffen Records Chairman Ron Fair, who has executive production credits on the album, You Complete Me focuses on the reasons why women need a special man in their lives. Based on her highly-successful track record over the past three years, Ms. Cole clearly completes not just her man, but listeners worldwide.

Hmmmmm, keyshia cole is one of those girl singers in which i kind of like and kind of don't. She has a nice voice but i'm not really feeling this song. It's okay i guess. The beat could've been better...

Booth-heads, I propose a toast! To us sensible reviewers; leading by example, we have helped WOW:) evolve from a brash young commenter into a wise, experienced reviewer (which her above comment shows)! Salute! (watches members clang glasses, then makes toast)
OK, now to the song: It is SMOOTH. Can't wait to hear "A Different Me," because, to tell the truth, I wasn't feeling a lot of her misandry-laced songs. I prefer softer jams, and most of you do too (which is why "Love," "I Remember," "Heaven Sent," and "Playa Cardz Right," are hits, and this will be too). This will be just as big a hit as these other ones, and I hope somebody will remix this and do it justice...Maybe a certain MC from Wisconsin might? (Keep ya ears open!) |

There is one part that I liked in the song... other than that, this doesn't do too much for me. Perhaps it's too depressing?
Wow:,) I've noticed a lot of people getting on you for your commenting thing... but do you. |

You cant go wrong w/ a Keyshia Cole song but this one isnt anything special. The beat needs some smoothing out and its not really that catchy for a R&B track. Her voice is great as usual but im not feelin the beat dat much.

Oh my bad, I accidentally put a period instead of a comma after "me". That was for you Burmy- I'm proofreading instead of not caring. Now, sorry booth I'm not going to type any more.

Keyshia's vibe on tracks is phenomenal. Her last album was a pleasant surprise to my eardrums. That was one you can play all the way through. From the sounds of these first two track releases this one should be just as good.

Even though it's not my Mp3 type of song, the FRESH percussion pattern concluded by that final hit sounding like 808s used by Kanye made this production for me, although it might miss some more catchiness (cuz the melody alone ain’t doing it)! I see what you mean about Keyshia’s vocals WOW:), sometimes they don’t sound as good as she’s capable of, even though we like her.
I raised my glass M. Burmy… lol, you a fool dude! Always after WOW:)! But it’s a “family” thing Reishm4, we don’t mean to offend WOW:) Type as much as you like WOW:), we may not agree, but do you. … … … lol, no, that was not a question! XD |

nothing special but it follows the r&b slow jam formula.

This track simply proves that Keyshia Cole is an amazing vocal artist. It's waning away from what she's been doing before and moving towards more of an adult contemporary side. I can definitely see her branching off into different audiences.

OMG this is one of if not the best songs that she has ever made and I totally understand these lyrics. No matter what you've gone thru with that someone special matters as long as at the end of the day they are still by your side cuz they complete you as a person. she blew the other female artists out of the water with this one!!

This is sort of different style production for Keyshia, and I wonder if that correlates with her album title "A Different Me". I'm really digging the Ron Fair production and Keyshia's vocals are on point as usual. I feel she's one of the best R&B singers in the game right now...hands down vocally. I love the percussion though. This easily gets 4 stars from me. Oh, and WOW :), let me just be straight up real. The Booth comments wouldn't be as interesting without you! Don't stop! Peace Easy!

to me a lot of Keyshia's songs sound as if the music and her singing are done independently, or she just sings how she wants regardless of the music behind her. in other words, sometimes her singing just doesn't go with the music. I don't know what explains this, but if she could figure a way to match her beautiful voice with the music... good album track here, that's about it

Wow Michael Hannah aren't you one of the ones who didn't really like me typing that way? lol. Damn, you all got me confused, i usually don't care what people will say about me and I'll keep doing it, (hence my typing, and move through it and i don't give a hoot...but I want respect cause I'm sick of all the crap y'all are giving me. Is the only way to earn repect typing correctly?

I for one like when you type properly, so keep it up! Now if only your taste in music didn't include Bow Wow, Soulja Boy or any other popcorn rap artists, you'd be even better! :P

No WOW:), the internet is not the place to take grammar and spell-check so seriously. What matters most is what you mean. At least for me it is ;) And the way you type is so funny cuz it’s harder than normal typing, so I don’t really know what the point is! lol

I think your typing style is fine. I guess I was on the bandwagon at first, but after awhile, the ridiculing and jokes got old. Some people (including myself) just don't know when to quit.

I like Keyshia's voice, she kills every song she's in. But I'm not mad for this track honestly, it's kinda boring. If I found it on the radio I'd listen to it but it won't go to my mp3 player

Keyshia is not lying, she is a different person. I noticed her songs have taken a new direction. She's not the same Keyshia who sung about pain and hurt. I mean there is nothing wrong with singing sad love songs, that's life but you can defiantly see growth as a person through her music nowadays. Keyshia come across as being a sincere person & I hope she does find someone special.
