No matter what genre of music you listen to, you probably mentally sort your favorite artists into general categories (e.g., Clipse are coke rappers, Devin‘s a weed rapper, and Travis McCoy is a rock-rapper). In the same vein, Keyshia Cole is frequently classified as a “heartbreak singer,” but on December 16, she plans to show audiences A Different Me. The project’s first single, Playa Cardz Right, should be highly recognizable, as it was originally featured on Tupac‘s sixth posthumous album, Pac’s Life. With Ms. Cole’s vocals and Pac’s words of wisdom, and a saxophone-laced beat from Karma Productions, Playa Cardz Right maintains the same appeal that it offered two years ago.
This is really good. Like Keyshia is just amazing and 2Pac is.. well 2Pac. Something isn't hitting it for me, but I think that's a personal issue with the production and style of the song (I like this sort of song but it isn't cutting it for me); I won't let that affect my rating a quality song, thou. 4* for me
I actually never heard this two years ago. The production is off the chains! 2pac still making classics after he's in the afterlife. This vibe is definitely hot and Keyshia belonged with the legends...she would have fit in good back when BIG and PAC was still alive. I can't wait for her new project. This is certainly off the chains. Flawless as a matter of fact. The ending where they looped what he was saying was a tad weird though. That was the only unnatural part about the track . Everything else was superb.
i think itz really ignorant for people to believe that pac is alive..after the funeral and everything but i have no control over other people's feelings tho..if tupac is saved then good for him he'z living that godly life *** 3 stars
Not sure why they decided to roll this out as a single. I need to consult my sources at Geffen. Anywho... anything with Pac gets a good approval rating from me. As for Pac's existence on this earth... it's a damn shame he is gone. I cannot imagine how different the game would be today.
Well said Z! Pac was and still is the Greatest rapper of all time. The production is hot on here, Pac lays it down, and Keysha Lays it down too! Certified DJ BLAZE BANGER!
2pac is always a banger. how his tracks still come out after he died as if he never left, @*#$! is amazing. song sounds like as if he was he today. 2pac greatest artist ever lived to make music in mind hands down.
they put this out on makaveli 2 the bootlegs....the verse from pac was faster n was on a sick beat....this is alright but i like the original better n there was a full song from pac
I listened to this song before others because I'm in love with Keyshia Cole...her voice is one of the most beautiful in the r&b scene, I envy her! Anyway this isn't my type of song. She sounds perfectly like always in the hook, the background music is sexy and smooth but the overall melody bores me...if I found it on the radio I wouldn't pass, it won't be one of my favs, though. I give it a 3 because of Keyshia's angelic voice and coz of the big 2Pac
I like the version with Ludacris better, but Keyshia is my girl. Can't believe she is using this (at LEAST 2 year old song) on her album, although it sounds like there are some very, very minor changes to the original.
this that sittin by the fireplace sippin on some Mas Perla 2005,with that special lady type joint..haha..oh damn,my bad, gettin off subject here..this track was damn sweet..mad luv for one of the greatest rappers ever,2pac
is it just me or is thig song reallly old? not just the original version, but i have really had this one with keyshia on my ipod for nearly a year now.. i mean its still hot but really??
YEAH THIS IS DOPE,FEELS GUD TO HEAR 2PAC IN A TRACK DAM A 2PAC TRACK IS ALWAYS GONA RATE HIGHLY WITH ME AND HE SUITS THIS BEAT PERFECTLY ALONG WITH KEISHA WHO DOES A TOP JOB WITH THE VOCALS ON THIS..
I can't give a Pac track less than a 4. It's really a shame we don't have him around anymore. He always brought it and it's a shame we have to deal with some of those that are in the game that aren't even close to having the skills that Pac had.
I heard this song about a couple weeks ago on the radio and I've been listening to it a lot since then. I love how both artists are truly artists who can make you feel their pain. I agree with Z...I often wonder how the industry would be different if 2Pac, Biggie, Aaliyah, and tLc were together. :( So to all of you who think you got what it takes...keep pushing - life is too short to give up on what you love!
LOVE YOU TUPAC AMARU SHAKUR !<3<3<3 YOU WAS THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE AND IF YOU`RE ALIVE YOU`RE THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE TO! MAN! I LOVE YA ! I GOT YOUR PICTURE ATT MY WALL BESIDE ME AND IT FEEL THE BEST WHEN I LOOK AT IT !<33 R.I.P Tupac "2pac" "Makaveli" Amaru Shakur!<3
