Keyshia Cole is back y’all! Fresh out the gate of New Mommyville, she’s adamant to remind everyone “ain’t nobody iller than me” in her new single I Ain’t Thru. What, you thought just because her BET reality show The Way It Is has taken an indefinite break and she’s nursing an infant, she was going to remain on the sidelines? Not when she’s got “hatin’ ass broads” to address! To further drive the point home she enlists a bouncing beat from The ARE (and Ron Fair) and a verse from the Queen of Spastic Head Bobs, Nicki Minaj, for the first song from her currently untitled upcoming release, due out this December. There’s a bit of an edgy West Coast vibe to the song, so much so that I could definitely hear someone like Kurupt rapping over the beat (how crazy would THAT be for a remix?). It’s a suitable parallel to Keyshia Cole herself: sweet-sounding, but not a push-over and demands to be heard all the way through. Now that the word is officially out, spread it like a rumor – Keyshia Cole “ain’t thru”!

Keyshia Cole records don't blow you away upon first listen (at least not when I listen to them), but sure enough 5-6 months later they're played out everywhere you go. Its like she is sneaky good in a way.
Nicki's guest spot won't hurt this record and The ARE impressed me considerably.

Not my cup of tea, I actually don't see this being too big of a record for Keyshia. The beat is a little too simple and the hook is really lazy. Of course, Nicki is the highlight of this one. If she was trying to get back into the clubs like "Let It Go," she may need to head back to the drawing boards.

I love Keyshia, and while I love her even more on slower tracks, this is crazy good! That beat is insane, and her vocals are as good as ever. Nicki continues to impress by beating all the hype as well.

going from the comments you either hate it or love it. I am somewhere imbetween but leaning much more to the "love it" side. I just agree about the chorus. very very lazy. and nicki doesnt impress me anymore unless she goes off (like in Monster).

@Techeazy I don't know if I see anyone here who either loves it or hates it. It seems like, like you, everyone's in some space along the "it's decent but not a hit" spectrum, a space I'm definitely in as well.
Good to hear Keyshia back though.

you a mut she a mother f***in duck, duck goose lmao. Nicki kills this verse. her wordplay is is up there at the top of the game. On the other hand I think this is jus a statement song for everyone that k. cole is back. Jus a relaxed song to let everyone know whats up.

Great to see Keyshia back... This certainly isn't bad, I actually think the beat is quite catchy and with Nicki getting alot of hype at the moment, this could work... If not, Keyshia is sure to have a break up anthem of the year out soon, so no worries

Keyshia didn't even express half her vocal potential here. But I like this kind of collaboration that could lead to somthing like Ciara & Missy Eliot's "Work" or Brandy & Monica's "the boy is mine".
