Kevin Rudolf - You Make the Rain Fall
Artist: Kevin Rudolf
Featuring: Flo Rida
Producer: Kevin Rudolf & Dr. Luke
Album: To the Sky
Label: Cash Money/Universal Republic
For years, science has taught that precipitation occurs due to the condensation of water vapor in the atmosphere which, after falling out of solution, is pulled to the Earth’s surface by force of gravity. Well, turns out meteorologists have been dead wrong all this time; on new single You Make the Rain Fall, Cash Money‘s resident rocker, Kevin Rudolf, reveals that it’s actually due to the excessive beauty of a certain female – who’d have guessed? Over his and co-producer Dr. Luke‘s hard-hitting, metallic guitar/synth boardwork, Rudolf describes the painfully attractive femme fatale who stole his heart before he even learned her name. Club-hop phenom Flo Rida handles guest duties, busting out some of the triplet-heavy flows he used in Right Round (which, like this cut, is in 12/8 time – crazy, right?). Like what you’re hearing? You can find plenty more where this came from on Rudolf’s latest full-length, To the Sky, released on the June 15 and available now in stores and online.

I have seen first hand (time and again) the impact that Kevin Rudolf songs have on large crowds and I can safely say that "You Make The Rain Fall" should have no problem falling in this increasingly long line.
Funny, too - that same opinion is an exact match for Flo's ability to get a large gathering of people in a party setting excited to be there. |

Wow, this is a great fusion between rock and club.
I like it. Flo fits it to a tee. Works to me. Now it depends on whether this is gonna be released to mainstream radio, I can only see minor to moderate success on the charts. |

Love that Flo Rida is successful at this kinda extreme pop, and still is respected on the rap side of things too. It never hurts to be able to cross back and forth. Kevin Rudolph also has a formula that he used on this and many other tracks of his. DJZ already commented on the ability of these two artists to get the crowd on thier feet with songs like this. Their gonna keep on bustin them out as long as it works.

I agree with DJ Z that this will definitely rip it up in the club. It has a nice flare of rock but still has the hiphop feel to it. I'm giving it 3.5 but round up even though I know I'm going to get sick of it fast because it's gonna be on constant rotation in the clubs.

Not my personal favorite, but I have to say, the man definitely knows hot to do that rap/pop/rock hybrid. I can only imagine how crazy crowds are going to go when this gets played live, and this is the kind of cut Flo-Rida was born to hop on.

I was expecting a monster verse from Flo which just didn’t come. This song started average and stayed there.

This is predictable from the beat to Flo-Rida's verse. If this was 2-3 years ago it might be a banger. Where's the creativity Kevin.
