You hear about it everyday. A star is born in the music industry; just yesterday they were a music executive, songwriter or record producer. Kevin Rudolf, on the other hand, has taken a much different path from behind-the-scenes to center stage. The former electric guitarist, who has supplied background chords for Timbaland, Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake and David Banner among others, recently signed a record deal with Cash Money and Universal Republic. Bringing an authentic rock-n-roll sound to his music (please end all Shop Boyz comparisons now), Kevin is ready to Let It Rock on his lead single. Further interest is added to the project via the guest work of label mate, Weezy F. Baby, who blesses the record with his chameleon-like approach. Combined, the two artists form a mighty tandem that will appeal to a broad range of listeners. Kevin’s debut, In The City, is currently due out in October.
Listen to Kevin Rudolf's Let It Rock ft. Lil' Wayne
This is obviously not generic weezy rapping son, but lets be honest, he's a super star and he can do whatever the hell he wants since his fans are dedicated. good collab for what they were aiming for.
Love rock music and it was the best combo of new hip hop and rock music. love the beat. hope to hear more from kevin rudolf. This is one of the best songs i have heard as of late. This is a good song and a decent hip hop song. It is more rock then hip hop. but love it
I've had this song 4 a min. I havn't listened to it much. But I'm gonna start. I like the rock hop mix here. I'm not big on rockin out, but weezy should do more of it. The lyrics are interesting here. I dig it!
Okay this is pretty damn fresh. I'm VERY glad that weezy is doing something different here and not his generic rap feature verses that we've been hearing. And I have to give props to Kevin Rudolf, his rock sound works very well with hip hop and this track definitely worked. Well... I'm not too sure if it'd work in the club...
Let it rock! Let it rock! Let it rock! lol... man I can't get it out of my mind. Refreshing to see that Weezy is trying something new which actually kinda suits him.
Crazy song, period! Coming from someone who knows from experience, when you hear this in the club you will go nuts! Perfect song for the speakers to bump, and Wayne kills it. Rock-Rap at its finest, this is a 5/5 perfected track!!!
I listened to this twice, I really can't decide a rating...what's sure is that I like it! it's fresh and has a good production. For now I consider it in rotation, but it will grow on me
this song is banging i'm currently reeling the linkin park, gym class heroes, rap hop tings. and this si basicaly the same thing, so i say banger. lil wayne suprised me at the end with the second verse he said or breakdown, well anyways cant wait to ear more songs from them. BANGER
first of all, to all those ppl who think white ppl will be all excited, NOOOOOOO, ppl are ppl, and when they hear a good, genuinely good track, THATS when they address it and/or download, skin color has nothin to do with music, so all yall narrow minded SOBs can kick rocks, now... This track is fire, nice approach, different from the conventional rap beats, i like it, look out for Kevin Rudolf, and Weezy, well, he is on his @*#$! as usual, got my respect...
wow ... this was different .. i think its one of those songs that will grow on you the more you hear it .. but i think i like .. i mean it got weezy in it .. so y not?
ROCK! I'm loving it. It's more than hip hop baby! EVOLVE! All haters and purists who can't get with stuff like that are just going to become irrelevant in life. No one is going to care about your closed minded thinking. Wayne is doing his thing! No argument!
This was definently on point. I didn't think I was going to like with guitar riffs and very pop voice this cat carries but it all came together very well and Nas' verse just confirmed that my doubts where completely wrong.
