Kevin Cossom - U Know What U Doin (Remix)
Artist: Kevin Cossom
Featuring: Pusha T
Producer: Nate "Danjahandz" Ellis
Album: Hook VS. Bridge (Pre-Album Extended EP)
Label: N.A.R.S./RCA
Girls always like to play innocent, but every guy out there has turned to a flirting female and told them, U Know What U Doin, including singer/songwriter extraordinaire Kevin Cossom (who just recently Took The Club Ova). Having dropped the original way back in December, Cossom’s injected some new life into U Know What U Doin for the remix, adding a few additional layers onto the already complex Danjahandz production, dropping some lyrically new verses, and most substantially, putting the Clipse’s Pusha-T onto the track for a questionably successful guest verse – in my not so humble opinion Pusha’s flow and the bouncing beat just don’t work well together. Is the updated cut better than the original? Sequels rarely are, but this might just be one of the rare exceptions. If you’re yearning for more doses of electro-r&b goodness be sure to cop Cossom’s new album, the interestingly titled Hook vs. Bridge, available now.

Hot! The production was unique and addictive. Pusha came through like always with another stoopid verse, the only downside was Cossom's vocals. I don't think he really highlighted himself on this track, but this was still rotation worthy.

This song has been a favorite of mine all year. This new version (or remixed version) does nothing to change my mind, though I do agree that Pusha T (while he is a dope emcee) wasn't the best choice for the guest 16. Like the new project, U Know What U Doin is very enjoyable.

Damn this production is fire. Its like club but with more to it. His voice flows really nice on it. 3.5 rounding down

To be honest, I thought this was a little better than the original (which I thought was good but ultimately lacking something). I thought the updated production was better and KC came through as always. I didn't have a problem with Pusha'a verse at all either.

Completely disagree with Nathan i really like Pusha on this, he cuts it up. Kevin Cossom kind of sounds like John Legend to me. Banger.

Nothing revolutionary, just a good, catchy pop-ish track that I was nodding my head to. Wasn't the biggest fan of the Pusha-T verse, but more importantly Cossom kills it.

The addition of Pusha T added to a already tight sounding track.

OH MY ! This song just makes me want to cry hysterically and dance at the same time. What a GREAT production. I was scared at first when I saw this song remixed. I love the original, but this is REAL GOOD as well. Never seen a remix be this classic before.

As far as RnB/Rap collaborations go this right here is Rotation-Stuff. It lacks the overall charisma to stay in the rotation for a long period of time.
