Kevin Cossom may have declared his intentions to Take the Club Ova way back in ’09, but the young crooner obviously hasn’t relinquished his dreams of club domination during his nearly year-long hiatus from the Booth, if his new single Baby I Like It is any indication. If your plan is to tear up the dance floor you’d be hard pressed to do better than producer Danja, and sure enough the man responds with a highly energetic, percussively layered beat sure to get the pretty girls putting their hands in the air, and their booties on the floor. While Cossom’s slightly auto-tuned vocals may not overtly impress, he easily keeps the partying moving, especially with verses from Fabolous, who predictably packs his bars with punchlines, and Diddy, whose time on the record is mercifully short. Kevin may like it, but does the Booth? We’ve got a ways to go before we get a new album from Cossom, but if fans inspired by I Like It can show a little patience, the label brass promises they’ll be well rewarded in the first quarter of 2011.

I'm a huge Kevin Cossom fan. His pen game and vocal tone/arrangements make up for a slightly smaller vocal range than some of his dual threat competitors. Fab fits perfectly on this record, and while I don't care for Diddy, he doesn't hurt the song.
This could pop at radio with the right push, whats up Jive?

ok... alright... im feelin it. not the greatest song, but it will be well received in the clubs. i like Cossom and Loso, but Diddys contribution was purely for his name only.

Nice club joint, if you're into that kind of thing. And I have to agree with Z, Cossom's vocals aren't as impressive as some of his peers, but he knows how to work a hook, and this one's proof of his skills.

Its okay. I have heard him drop hotter songs than this. What's wrong with Diddy? Fab this is his lane. He perfected songs like this. Not feeling the hook.

Even though the production is top notch this new cut seems to be a helpless stab at making another generic dance cut to please the girls at the club and get some heavy spins on your local 'Z' station - but really there isn't much new - Diddy is Diddy - an insane businessman but just passable rapper - Fab was sleeping through the track and KC T-pain's his way through it warbling away. Some decent work on the intro and outro but overall this track is forgotten about in a year!
