In early February, Timbaland announced that he would be teaming up with Verizon Communications to release an exclusive mobile-only album. The project, which will span the entire 2008 calendar year, will conclude with a compilation album of all the songs (featuring work with OneRepublic and Flo Rida among others) at years end. The first song to be released off the project is the Keri Hilson single, Get It Girl. Though the song won’t be the first single of Hilson’s own debut album, In A Perfect World (set for release this summer), it does showcase the musical marriage between Hilson and Timbaland. In A Perfect World will be released off Mosely Music Group/Zone 4/Interscope Records.
Timbaland really helped kick start Keri Hilson, especially with her feature on 'the way i are'. Her voice definitely has a hotness to her, though this song doesn't really show off how good her voice is (and I'm quite certain she has a great voice). This track is an absolute club song (timbaland almost never disappoints).
This is pretty good, the beat is what makes the track. i think it kinda takes over keri's vocals...im just not really feelin this girl. I'd love to hear a rapper hit a freestyle over this
Timbaland is running out of ideas. The beat is good but I think he needs to have a break before he over-works and people get sick of his music; or is it too late?

The reason why the beat is an up-tempo joint is because Verizon wants the material Timbo churns up to be appealing to consumers for download; both for ringtones and singles.
Timbo is Timbo but this is sub par for his normal talented beats..song is aight tho dont get me wrong but expected a lot more at this point in the game..
Timbaland always lays down some hot beats. Keri Hilson is probably one of my favorite female singers right now, love all the rap songs she sings on and she always kills it on her own with timbalands assistance. In rotation.
I loved 'The Way I Are'. Keri is cute and she seem like the good girl type. This song kinda fits her but it's not that great IMO. To me it sound like something my little cousins would listen too, so I couldn't see this doing well. But she has a shot at radio Disney.
i think i really enjoy the handwork of timbaland. this is a mobile track on a mobile album and the creativity is done instantaneously so i think the idea for this song was quite good coz of the time input. this output deserves great favour...
You know, Keri Hilson is so talented. She's worked on so many songs with Timbo before 'the way I are.' She is actually in the video to Promiscious(sp?) She's actually been writing music since about 2001. Artists include:
Chris Brown, Britney Spears, Toni Braxton, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Ciara, the Pussycat Dolls, Avant, Ruben Studdard, B5, Diddy, Chingy, LeToya, Ludacris, Rich Boy, Jennifer Lopez, Shawn Desman, Kelly Rowland, Nicole Scherzinger, Lloyd Banks, Keke Palmer, Omarion, Tiffany Evans, and Timbaland.
And her background vocals were I believe first debuted in 'Runaway love'. But before that she was featured on Xzibit's single 'Mean Muggin'...anywho, she's been in the business for awhile. But, I hope she gets better beats than this.
I love Keri's voice, I love Timbo's music, I like the beat on this, but the overall song is terrible. Her voice must be heard and Timbo can do way better, we know! It's ok for the beat and that's all
Hilson has a great voice. Timbo's production is solid but doesn't sound awful close to "Give It To Me" from 'Shock Value'. Tim, please don't get getting lazy and start recycling your beats. You have more talent that.
