It’s hard enough to act like an adult when others want what you’ve got, but the true test of maturity often comes when one must cut all ties and walk away from the one thing you desire most. Having suppressed her catty urges against a romantic rival on lead single Grown Woman, Destiny’s Child alum Kelly Rowland spends the follow-up struggling to remove the Rose Colored Glasses of nostalgia and close the door on a relationship that looked perfect from the outside, but, in reality, brought her nothing but trouble and strife. Penned by Drop It Low (Remix) singer Ester Dean and backed by the bittersweet, intricately-layered synth boardwork of Dr. Luke, this cut could hardly be a better showcase for Rowland’s emotional yet pop-appealing vocal stylings. But does RCG have the originality that some in the Booth believed its predecessor lacked? That, of course, is for you to decide. The singer’s third solo album has yet to receive a title or a solid release date from the Universal Motown brass – fans should keep it locked for the latest news and tunes!

Haha coming into this I did not know what I was getting myself into. Kelly's vocals were fantastic and the overall vibe of this song exceeded my expectations. So, when can we expect that album to drop?

I'm so happy this is a great record and has the potential to be a hit. Great production from Dr. Luke and Ester is such a talented songwriter but more importantly Kelly has a fantastic voice and shows off those vocals on a great song like this.

Im still waiting for Commander to blow up here (Im still willing to bet a lot of money that it does).
To this track, Its nothing that I would play at home, but I can imagine that radio will love this. Production is nice from Dr. Luke and Rowland sounds good like always. 3.5 |

This song has alot more "oomph" behind it. I think thats one big difference between Kelly, and Beyonce. Beyonce really puts it all out there vocally. Kelly seems to hold back on songs when I know she's capable of really giving to us. I think she really brought it this time. I like the synths in the production, pretty fresh. Hopefull this album can showcase the real solo Kelly, and not sound like Kelly the sidekick. 4-stars!

Like Kelis, Kelly seems to be going for a more club/house sound lately, only she's doing it much better (sorry Kelis). This track has some real mainstream hit potential, and if it does hit, Kelly deserves it all. Just a really talented woman.
