Although many believe that the only attractions in Orlando, Florida, are the well-known theme parks and resorts, emcee and producer duo, KD & JP, are proof otherwise. Currently unsigned, but grinding hard on the daily to grab the attention of a major, the twosome is pushing their new single, Magic Trick. Working their collective magic in front of and behind the boards, the fellas’ single is punctuated by an addictive synthesizer-laden bassline and Michigan’s Michael Stokes, who provides the hook. KD & JP’s debut album, Ahead of Our Time, is due to be released in this fall.
The production doesn't sound bad and Michael Stokes is decent. What's with all these cliché female tracks. KD & JP have a good delivery, but they aren't special at all. Where is the originality? They sound like some one hitters that will be forgotten tomorrow.
The beat is straight up nasty. Production is decent but I think this would go crazy in the clubs. And also Michael Stokes sounds pretty good on the track it has a nice transition.
I don't know why when I like a song, it always gets low ratings...maybe I don't understand anything about this music type or I have weird tastes lol! I'm really feeling this, the beat and music are hot and they don't flow/sing bad...I think it's a good work for the summer, it will go in the clubs and also in my mp3 player/car...I'll be bumpin it in the warm summer nights ;) 3,5 stars
the beat is not at all original. but KD & JP got a ton of potential. and seeing that they produced this themselves is impressive. cuz i think the flow is very good but the beats just need some work.
These guys are young and still developing their skills. If some of our industries' most talented artists had this kind of work done by their age, they would be out-of-this-world by 25. This is nothing unheard of before, but its mad catchy. Great production and wonderful job on the hook by Stokes.

I have been looking for music like this for years! After visiting KD and JPs myspace I also noticed that the duo def has image marketability. DJ Z hit the nail right on when he said "if they are producing this kind of music at this age, imagine what they could produce by the age of 25"
Michaelhannah, you must def checkout KD & JPs myspace if you do not think they have originality. They are not the greatest I have heard but def original...
The production is very good on this one and I like the chorus. I would have liked it better without the corny sounding rapper and instead Michael Stokes singing the whole song.
the track is hot and the lyrics are solid. its a tight hip hop meets rap type of song. stokes is nasty with the hook. kd cracks me up with "hey im white but dont call me shady"
5- style of music is new. kd and jp do not sound like anyone else.
theyve been performing around my area. i caught em once at knightly scoops. they know how to control the crowd, def got it jumping. their myspace has some pretty fresh music on it. kd and jp get a 4 in my book because magic trick is something i would expect to be played in a club.

i love dem girls with magic tricks...this song is funny..i like it now...i odnt even think i got through it the first time..i think the pic of them made me not listen and take the song serious...they look so pre-teen..lol...in rotation for sure..girls will be dancing to this at my place for sure...doing them magic tricks for me
still like this song. lol i agree with smrtypantz tho i looked at the picture and i was iffy but i guess you cant judge a book by its cover. underestimation works out for them. and if you actually listen to some of what they are saying your like OHHH I GET IT..
