Having split his time on earth between Ghana and Belgium, it might seem strange to think that Kaye Styles really isn’t much different from any MC who grew up stateside. Listening to icons like Pac, Biggie, and Wu-Tang as a Ghetto Kid, Kaye became determined to make it as a rapper and one day experience the career milestones of his heroes. Now, after plenty of hard work, both recording and pushing DJs to play his records (it’s a lot harder in Europe), Kaye’s time may finally have come. The newest single off his album boasts a myriad of thoughtful lyrics and a soulful sampled beat. Perfect for inspiration or just as background music, Ghetto Kid can be found on the forthcoming First Born, expected to hit stores and online retailers this June.
I am not really feeling the beat too much on this track...He definitely sounds like a fake-ass GAME on this track. I think this is pretty weak actually...not feeling it at all.
Umm he sounds like an old grandpa...the singing in the background is garbage and his swagger is trash too...sorry but this song needs to be thrown away..
yeah he duznt sound to bad maybe he shuda had a feature rapper on here to even things out, oldskool beat is top notch if he produced it himself cant hate the ghetto kid on this yeah i cud chuck this into rotation again..
I don't know...it ain't bad, but if I have to compare it to Prison Break Anthem, this is really weak! It's OK I guess. Kaye has always good music in his songs
