In late 2005 well-known comedian Katt Williams announced that he signed a deal with Dipset and planned to release the innovative rap/comedy album, It’s Pimpin’, Pimpin’. Two years later the first single has arrived and is entitled Shinin’. While rapping is a new foray for Katt, his verse is better than expected. Assisted by Houston’s Paul Wall (who feels right at home with his verse about candy paint) and Mike Jones (after Crunch ‘n Munch, just about anything from him sounds good), there’s no reason to think Shinin’ won’t get its fair share of spins, right, pimpin’?

This wasn't that bad. Paul Wall was ok. Katt sounds kinda like Lil Wayne, just Lil Wayne is way better. Mike Jones was the best, I guess, but they ruined the "chorus" when he started shouting over it.
It is crazy that Katt can rap. He really gave it to the Young Gunz on the battle diss record. I am surprised that he can flow. Dipset all day everyday! But realistically, he is an average rapper with a little extra edge because everyone loves him and knows who he is. Mike Jones is DONE in my opinion.
This was skr8. Nobody in their right mind thought Katt could flow, but he aint half bad. Paul Wall said the same verse he been spittin for years, and you can hate if you want but Mike Jones killed this shit. Its okay, not spectacular. And for the H8Rs...if you cant do betta, SHUT UP!

We all know Katt is an extremely talent comedian, but there's really no point in going in the rap industry if you're going to sound like a toddler in kindergarten reciting baby rhymes.
Katt's cool to me! I dont know why he did the song with the Mike Jones and Paul Wall though. Mike Jones is horrible and I'm ashamed to say I'm from Houston, when he raps. I know 6th graders who can kill Mike Jones in a battle and rap better lyrical content than him. And for Paul Wall, I used to like him, but he has no longevity. Just listen to any of his songs, he raps about the same thing over and over and over and over again. That shit gets tiring. He has nothing else to rap about, besides candy painted slabs, sippin that purple oil with a princess cut grills, while tippin on swangas. I just wrapped up his 2 albums there. I cant believe they are still rapping. Dyke Jones is DONE in my book and been DONE. He is a Sesame Street rapper.
