To make up for the disappointing sales of her debut album, 9 Lives, Kat DeLuna and her staff at RedOne Productions and Epic Records have decided to give the album a re-release, hoping that the U.S. market will finally catch on after almost nine months. In addition to the reworked Run The Show with Busta Rhymes, the new edition will also feature a remix of Am I Dreaming, which features international star Akon and a RedOne beat. Though his feature was recorded well before his street credibility was placed in question, it should be noted that Akon strays away from the rough block talk, sticking to music the common man can relate to. The reworked version of 9 Lives is in stores today.
This takes me back to the Caribbean. I can groove to this track outdoor or indoor. For a second there ... I thought I was listening to Selena. Anyhow, this is, as DJ BLAZE would say: A CERTIFIED JESAVAIL02 BANGER!!! Big up to Red One and Akon.
Obscenely hot track, Akon is just on fire right now, and Kat is phenomenal right here. Really feeling the island dancehall beat to it. Not much to fault on here.

As has been said by several of our members, this a great summer record. The re-release is a smart move, the labels have nothing to lose here. A re-release doesn't cost very much, considering the bulk of the album costs were already spent. Hot record.
Well, I think it's kool how they mixed a caribbean feel with a bit of salsa - it works for her image of course but I dunno.....I like Akon but overall it's kinda corny.
DJ Z spoke up man, said everything I would say for this track. Its hot mannnnnn! besides her whiny ass voice sometimes, but its good enough to ignore that.
i only liked AKON...HE=SICK!!...on da otha hand i didnt like her...da only song i liked her in wuz "cut off time" w/ omarion...but i think only becuz my man omarion wuz in it...lol idk. i wuznt feel-n DIS....2 STARS only 4 AKON tho:)
