As has been the pattern with all too many underground mainstays-gone-major, Kardinal Offishall began to stray into more homogeneous musical territory since getting his big break—in his case, toning down his distinctive, Caribbean-inflected style to craft more conventional dancefloor-scorchers like Smash the Club and Body Bounce. Nearly three years after the release of his KonLive debut with no sign of a drop date for his fifth studio album, though, the T-dot mainstay’s ready to go back to the basics; more specifically, that Ol Time Killin. Part II of the single that got Offishall’s industry buzz up way back in 2001, this cut finds the emcee amped up and ready to attack the mic like it’s the turn of the millennium. Over his and Dready‘s swaggering, synth-soaked dancehall grooves, the artist proves that he’s still got what it takes to murk a beat anytime, Anywhere. The result, though not as steeped in Offishall’s Jamaican patois as the original, is a genuine blast from the past. Or have I got it twisted? Debate away, Booth readers—and keep it locked for all the latest on Mr. International, which as-yet still lacks a release date.

Damn Kardi's flow is tighter than a wedgie on the first verse! The production has too much noise for my liking though.

This song goes hard; the beat is the main attraction though. I’ll let you decide if that is a good thing.

He's very comprehensible on this one, so I'll rate it higher than usual.

It was not good at all except his rhymes at the start. That's the only reason he gets two stars.
