While hip-hop’s obsession with the ‘no-snitch rule’ has caused its fair share of controversy, numerous MCs see it as a way to kick-start a career. Just ask Koch Records signees K.A.R. (acronym for Kill All Rats), who have brought in Terror Squad crooner Tony Sunshine for a blow-by-blow description of NYC hood life. On Stop Talkin’, rappers Rob Cash, Mike Beck, and Onez give warnings to those who violate the code of the streets. To kick start the song, the guys endorse getting high while listening; though most weed anthems are much more laid back than violent. Produced by Butter Beats, Stop Talkin’ is the lead single of the group’s forthcoming debut offering.
They Definitely sound like my NJ/NY local dudes and they are reppin correct on the beat! Tony Sunshine is very talented...Fat Joe should have tried to keep him; he is the truth. This is another BANGER for today from me...I actually can't believe it! I am with you Z...They might not have what it takes to go mainstream; but its still a sick track!
I like how it starts and the song they used to sample worked well! The tempo is also a stand out. It resulted in a fresh beat! Good flow from everyone. One of them (2nd verse) sounds like Cassidy (that’s good). Tony was a good addition too, brings more emotion to the song! I don’t see’em goin mainstream with songs like this, but they could if they tried, they have potential.
