I was running out of ways to lead into these G.O.O.D. Friday records until a song from Kanye West’s still untitled album leaked. Not only did the leak set the internet on fire with debate, it prompted Kanye to cancel this week’s release. Like an easily forgiving parent though, Kanye decided Saturday morning to still give fans some Christian Dior Denim Flow. While frequent contributors Swizz Beatz and Charlie Wilson (thankfully) sit this week out, the talent is increased with the inclusion of Ryan Leslie and Lloyd Banks making their first appearances. Production wise, Kanye is all over the place, including heavy snares, menacing piano strings for the final three verses and wailing guitars to highlight KiD CuDi’s verse. The chorus is an instant winner and in terms of actual rapping, Ye name drops some top flight models, Pusha gets on his smooth tip and Banks’ slow flow fits comfortably on the second half of the record. While some outlets have reported a November 22 release date, Kanye himself continues to insist he still doesn’t know when his next possible classic will drop. Hopefully he won’t put us on punishment again in the meantime.
UPDATE: Yeezy just announced via Twitter that November 22 is indeed the release date, still no title though.

Not my FAVORITE G.O.O.D. Friday release, but I'm sure it will grow on me, as did the majority of the series (with the exception of Devil in a New Dress)

Why does Kanye keeping putting so many features on his songs and even worst, unnecessary features (Ryan Leslie rapping?). Kanye and Lloyd were good (funny how they're working together) but I didn't like anyone else. The hook too was weak but the beat saves the song from being a complete diasater.

The production during the verses is bangin, and Kid Cudi, Pusha, and Ye had nice verses. Lloyd Banks was interesting, not great but not bad either. I didn't like Ryan Leslie here. The singing was very good on the hook also. One of my least favorite G.O.O.D. Friday tracks, but still good nonetheless. 3.5 out of 5

Less is always more and I am beginning to think Kanye has never heard that advice. The hook is the only workable and enjoyable element on display here. The rest of the contributions all lack cohesiveness.

I was expecting much higher ratings for this. In my opinion this is one of if not the best song in the Good Friday series. I mean does anyone really believe Monster was better than this?

This is ok nothing special the whole GOOD Friday records to me are just throw aways that wouldn't make any album.I bet they were all in the studio getting f**ked up and decided to throw on a beat and hit record and whatever come out comes out

The booth seems to be disagreeing with the majority of the internet community regarding this song.
I honestly felt that this was 1 of the better G.O.O.D. Friday tracks. Probably behind Runaway & Devil In A New Dress in terms of ranking them. Banks & Pusha were dope. The verse from CuDi wasnt needed, the hook was sick though. |

What the... ? What's up with this rating? Production and chorus alone (Legend's higher vocals, yet on the background, were exquisite!), make this a banger!
The guitar?! Oh God! You must really not care about that instrument not to go crazy on the second part of the song and the riffs. By the way, switching it like that was classy good taste! People need to stop being so biased every time they hear an unexpected rapping... Trey Songz often out-raps rappers on his remixes (check "Over", much better than Drake)! Ryan L. was fine, Banks was surprising, Cudi sounded finally at home and enjoyable. Musical feast! |

In comparison to everyone else in the game this is incredible, but in comparison to what Kanye's capable of, it's pretty damn good, but nothing to go insane over. Props to the man for continuing to always push boundaries.
And for the record FredRico, I'm not against singers rapping, I'm against singers rapping poorly (same goes for rappers singing). This track would have been better without Ryan's lines. It really is that simple.

This is a rare statement, but I don't like Kanye's production on this track. I think the beat takes away from what could have been a really sick track. The chorus is pretty weak sounding too. Lloyd Banks actually sounds the best on it. I can't throw this into rotation because I honestly don't want to listen to it again. This is just OK to me...

Aussie Accents back in the booth :) slowly finding his feet.
I actually really admire this song, you never know what you're gonna get with Kanye but you know it's gonna be different, I love the violins in the background, perfect for CuDi to do a hook over, he kills it. I liked Banks verse the most but West & Pusha did well too, just leave Leslie out and you got a pretty dam good song. When the beat slows down with the guitar riff and slowed percussion, that was sick. Keep em' coming West! |

ZeroDaHero I disagree, I think Pusha-T is going to blow more up being on G.O.O.D. Music. He fits in great, and Kanye is straight killing the game with beats and lyrics and I am a fan!

BLAZER!!! The hook is serious. Big up to Cudi and Legend on that. The Clipse used to come hard on a couple tracks, but overall their whole CD was never that hot. I hope Pusha T comes with something real hard when he drops hit CD, he's due. Kanye's beat transitions are becoming better and better. Nice !!!

Ionno where all the hate comes from but i think this ish is real dope. Pusha's verse was dope, Kanye's verse was dope, Cudi's verse was pretty good...production was fantastic and really carried this song from a 4 or possibly 3.5 to a 5.
