When I read that K.A.R.‘s latest single was titled Girls Wanna Have Fun, my first thought was, “Is this going to be a hip-hop reimagining of the Cyndi Lauper song?” followed immediately by “Didn’t someone already do that?”  As it turns out, the answers are, respectively, “No,” and, “Yeah, Cam’ron did.”  What the record is, though, is a pretty good argument against those who’d claim the Fat Joe protégés don’t have what it takes to achieve mainstream popularity—in addition to being an enjoyable listen, its also more marketable than anything we’ve heard from them thus far.  As Rob Cash and Leader spit high-rolling game to a fun-loving female, The Crew surrounds their rhymes with glittering, club-friendly synths and midtempo percussion; Ace Hood even jumps on board for a Weezy-esque guest verse.  Is this danceable sound K.A.R.‘s ticket to success?  You be the judge.  For more from the up-and-coming group, grab your copy of their Joe Crack & Pistol Pete Present K.A.R mixtape when it drops May 5th.

I agree, DJ J. Nothing surprised me and the addition of Ace Hood didn't help either. They should get T-Pain or Akon to sing the hook or something. 2.5 at best.

The lyrics are good this a decent play everyonce in a while. Ace Hood is a good idea with a track like this but K.A.R. doesnt impress me its mainly the production on here that sounds good

I like it. Nothing special lyrically, but it has a good vibe. The hook was cool and the verses were decent. I was looking forward to hearing Ace's verse when I saw this feature. He sounded aight on here. In rotation.

The production and hook are good enough to get it a few spins in the club, but the track isnt all that interesting to me. Lyrics and flows on the verses are mediocre, and Ace's guest verse was aight.

Its not that this is a bad record its just that it is a boring record. Theres nothing on the track that makes me want to hate it, it just seems that its really plain.

This is the group's BEST shot at a radio single. I have this feeling that Ace is going to be the 'HOT' guest feature this season. He brings an unrelenting energy to his bars, which is the #1 ingredient in a blazing 16.

This has a @ood vibe to it. Teddy did you have a hand in this? The beat is clean. K.A.R. are ok. Ace made this better than it is.

BANGER! Ace Hood made the track for me, and I would like if Ace Hood became the new Lil Wayne as the 'Hot' guest feature like Z said. Ace Hood could blow up like crazy like that. Dope production and K.A.R. is nice.

ummm no. no to all that ish. no to the weak bars. no to the lackluster hook and no to the uninspired production are we listening to the same song ppl? the MASH track was way stronger and you all were hypercritical then your all giving this blahness love, NO! typical song from average at best artists. I guess having J.Cracks blessing must sway some opinions 'round here. I can get 3 cats from my block to do this. Juanito said it best its aight.

Club song. Catchy melody, good beat, cool voices. Nothing new here, but something enjoyable to my ears!
