On Monday, we kicked off our exclusive freestyle series with Novel‘s Soul Survivor. The second entry comes to us courtesy of Booth favorite K. Sparks, who freestyles over a beat by DJ Jazzy Jeff on his brand new Soul Child. The Double Up Ent. emcee is currently going strong after 23 weeks of his Manic Mondays series, and has released the first 17 installments as the Manic Mondays Mixtape (Vol. 1). Fans can look forward to volume two of the mixtape, which will drop when Sparks reaches week 34; in the meantime, check back with the Booth each Monday to hear his latest records as they are released.

This is the best of both worlds for me. DJ Jazzy Jeff has always been a talented producer on my radar. K. Sparks came with it over this beat. The over all sound feels great and the production compliments him well. I'm glad DJ Booth is doing the freestyle series. Dope series!

K.Sparks: This is pure fire. You could huddle around a KSparks CD in the wintertime and it would keep you warm!!!! Like I said before...you NewYork major labels are sleepin if you ain't got at this kid yet. Damn, I know alot of the people who work at most of the major labels in NY come out of NYU and some even only hire kids out of NYU(no disrespect at all, just statin the facts)...and, I know alot of people at NYU and they all talkin about KSparks and DJBooth.net....so, labels, what's the problem???
