Last Manic Monday, Booth favorite K. Sparks wowed readers for the 36th time with Dreamin, a record he based around his favorite of 337 fan-submitted song ideas. After sorting through all those Emails, arriving at a favorite, and recording the high-concept cut all in the course of one week (in addition to working on various mixtapes, etc., etc…), I would have been ready for a nice, long nap, but Sparks doesn’t seem to know the meaning of the word ‘rest.’ At the very least, it’s good to see the emcee kicking back a little—on Retarded (entry #37), he grabs a groovy, guitar-sampling beat by DJ Jazzy Jeff and spits the kind of freewheeling, punchline-driven verses he could probably write in his sleep. I mean that in the best way possible, though; the Queens native simply goes so hard that he makes it look easy, and it’s the seeming effortlessness with which he delivers his allusive, wordplay-rich rhymes that makes this one yet another winner. Now, if only all the rappers who clearly are sleeping on the job would heed Sparks’ words on the back end and stop being… well, you know.

waittt jazzy jeff... like will smith's old running mate? but nayways this song is decent. the beat is funky. k. sparks flows nice to this and drops some interesting lines. the hook could be better but it did its straight. sounds like a song that would be in the background while your on the menu for nba live. anyways 3 stars.

The rhyme style is dynamic the produx is not so fresh but its enough to let Sparks shine. Would be a classic if the hook was a bit better...and the produx.

i like the production, but I think Royalty of NY pointed it out earlier, K. Sparks seems to sound the same on many of his songs. And then he kinda switched it up on this joint so i have nothing to complain about.
Oh yeah and crazy lyrics. |

YES... the magnifiscent killed it once again on the boards! And, once again, Sparks picks an awesome beat to flow over. He just sounded like he had fun on this one. Dude made me dizzy wit some of his wordplay, literally.

yo dis track is killa, i feel like im listenin to a track from way back when. sparks always brings his A-game i gotta admit tho dis aint my style but when you here something like dis you gotta give mad respect to da artist banger status no doubt lol from now on, you might aswell get rid off garbage, ok, and in rotatation from your rating list cause K.
