Though this is the singer’s Booth debut as a headliner, K-Young has amassed considerable reader acclaim for his hook vocals on Nipsey Hussle‘s Roll The Windows Up, Yung Berg‘s With You, and Hot Dollar‘s All Night Long. Sent to radio last week, K-Young’s latest solo single finds him searching for Summer Love with whom he can enjoy all his favorite warm-weather pastimes, from beach cruising, to barbecue picnics, to simply basking in the bright sunshine. This version, recorded for inclusion on DJ Rockstar and DJ Ill Will‘s forthcoming mixtape of the same name, features fellow West Coast native Ya Boy, who reveals that even the most hard-boiled street soldiers need love on his memorable closing verse. Complete with a synth-heavy beat by Young’s Magic Ink production team, this record is sure to get love—and-spins—throughout the remaining summer months. Though both K-Young’s debut album and Ya Boy’s The Facelift lack distribution and solid release dates, there’s a good chance that will change before August rolls around.

hes pretty good, the production gives it a summer feeling and his vocals fits perfectly, and Ya Boy drops a solid verse.

Great production work from his in-house people. I enjoy his voice, but it is outshined by the beat- which in the hands of some other, more-skilled singers would have been a monster of a hit. Would have preferred Ya Boy on the front-end 16 (as opposed to the back end).

I like K-Young. A LOT. he's been on my mp3 knockin on 2 years. I honestly sent K. Young a message on myspace 2 send a track here. It never got read lol. BUT im glad 2 hear a song of his on here. UNFORTUNATELY, i do NOT care for this song. just basic and generic. Although, I'd put it in rotation JUST cuz its his song, but thats not an honest rating.

K-Young is another talented R&B singer on the rise. The guy has some good vocals & I can see him making a impact in years to come.
This track is pretty solid, K-Young & the production were good & Ya Boy was decent enough. |

From whatever stuff I've heard of K-young nothing has impressed me so far. Considerin the vibe beat provides i can throw dis one for Rotation. Otherwise its a tired cliche' ....

I can see this played at radio but I don't really dig it. I won't punish his Booth rating, though. Rotation-worthy but not in my personal stash.

im a big k young fan, like many others, but i would pick "broken" over this for his radio single...i feel like he's trying too hard to make this a "summer track." might sound crazy, but he has better tracks than this. solid vocals, decent beat, good verse from ya boy, not for me tho
