The 137th entry in our DJBooth.net Freestyle Series comes courtesy of K-Young, the West Coast singer last heard on reader-approved mixtape leak If You Only Knew. On his brand new, exclusive The DJ Booth freestyle (the first R&B entry in our series!), the Ink/Treacherous Records signee flows over the Wonder Boy-produced beat originally featured on Drake‘s leaked King Leon, also used on Al Gator‘s freestyle of the same name. K-Young is currently preparing for the mid-February release of his latest mixtape, Better Than Yo Album (Vol. 1).

Readers can download a copy of the newly-released In the Booth (Volume 3), featuring exclusive freestyles 61 through 90, here! Volumes one and two are available for download here and here.

Yes! The first R&B artist to rip a freestyle for our series. And, to top it off, he named it "The DJ Booth." That alone should net him 3 out of 5 stars. Respect to K, though, for not trying to be a rapper (which is what far too many R&B artists do when they "freestyle").

Thanks, K!

The man knows his strengths and sticks to em, and I have to respect that. Definitely a worthy addition to the freestyle series. K-Young did r&B proud.

He's got his women in his kitchen naked cooking steak and chicken. Goddamn, homeboy likes his protein.

This is cool, but drake mudered this beat and left it for dead. Despite K-young's greatest ressurection efforts, he fails to breath life back into this track and is overshadowed by the predecessor. Great vocals, average lyrics(freestyle or not) 2.5 stars

Lovin the R&B freestyle. Like Z and Nathan said, he didn't try to rap, he just stuck to what he's good at. His voice is tight.
