In the dictionary, the word “nostalgic” is defined as “unhappy about being away and longing for familiar things or persons.” If you ask a hip-hop listener what they long for the most, you might hear “1995” or, maybe, “1998.” Either way, there is no doubt about it: we are well past the golden years of rap music. So, what is a loyal hip-hop enthusiast to do? We suggest closing your eyes (after you finish this insightful read) and listening to K. Sparks’ newest Manic Mondays feature, Nostalgic. After convincing yourself that you are in fact not inside a cocktail lounge at a fancy downtown restaurant, you’ll soon realize that this mellow, hookless record, courtesy of Moe Productions, is compelling evidence that it may not be necessary to long for hip-hop’s past after all.
I love the lounge vibe to the production by Moe. Very chill. I don't like this as much as some other K.Sparks joints, but the production really serves him nicely. Sometimes to ride off into the night with the windows open, with a breeze coming in, blowing on you and your fine breeze. This is grown folks hip hop! I'm digging it.
K Sparks is always representing for the booth, all of his material is always different and creative. This is no exception, production is smooth as well as the flow. The overall track is a great chillax record, which is one of my favorite types of music. I will rock this one when I'm vibing out, good work.
Damn, this cat is mad versatile, every week I check back here for some new K. Sparks music, and he always seems to come with some new material. This right here is dope, def feelin it.
damn booth yall r play-n lotza songz by him...i think ya kinda need to switch it up....but eh, thiz song wuz ok becuz of hiz rap-n -NOT tha beat...truth: im get-n really sick of hear-n thiz dude.
Yooooooooooo, this beat reminds me of some mid 90's type hip hop music. And that is EXACTLY why I'm feelin it. Dude seems to have that real hip hop sound on smash. Keep em comin
I'm prolly gonna catch heat for this rating, but I feel this is a classic joint. I love the beat, and the content is dope. Dude switches up to actually compliment the beat. You can't help but feel this joint. This is good music at it's finest
I'm sorry WOW:), but you keep putting yourself out there to be criticized, so I guess I'll have to capitalize. If you gave been paying attention, just like some other rappers on here like Theo and what not, EVERY MONDAY, K.Sparks drops a new single. It's a promotional tool and the booth features him weekly for the next "however many" weeks. You gotta start noticing the patterns.
This is not my type of hip hop song, but it's hip hop for real! The production is smooth and sexy. The background music is sweet (I can hear it when he does not rap) and his flow is great. I'll write down this title, I might download it, even though it's not my type. It's too sexy
I agree with UnLucky but the beats are made by statik selektah though and hell both term and statik from my city lawrence mass aka lawtown HAHA but i like this dudes track only complaint is that he recyles punchlines and ryhmes al ot though buit still it sounds nice
I like to hear artist that can be diverse like this. I've been listening to k. sparks manic mondays series for a while and what makes him stand out amongst other artist is that he isn't afraid to attack abstract beats such as this.
Hoffa on the check in, a lil late, but still holdin it down. This nostalgic joint is sumthin that you can ride out to late night or just chill to. It's without a doubt a banger!
Never knew about K.Sparks till I found djbooth, but I gotta say I'm glad I did. This guy has some skill and despite turning out a new jam every week, he doesn't let the quality of his music suffer. Very talented and I'm feelin this chill vibe.
