K. Sparks f*cks with DJBooth.net. If you don’t believe us, just listen to the Jamaica, New York native’s newest Manic Monday feature. Alongside fellow New York emcee Angelous, Sparks presses Rewind over a sample-filled production courtesy of French hip-hop producer Kurser, name-dropping the Booth along the way. As so many artists continue to saturate the market with a poor excuse for hip-hop music, it seems Sparks knows what it takes to stand out from the pack; Rewind includes braggadocio, but it is delivered in an insightful and fresh manner. While the record serves as Sparks’ sixth Manic Monday feature, it will also be included on his forthcoming Kurser-produced mixtape project, The Red Tape.

I like this, this is what I miss, guys that can actually rap : ) and the angelous guy sounds like Jay Z. For a second I thought this was Hov on the beat. But none the less, this is flavor.

Nah, he fu cks wit my iPod cuz thats what he blazin' right now. I got every song right now. Dis shyt is hot!! Great beat!! Blazing lyrics! Top 3 songs on djbooth tonight are all classics on mind. I havent checked out the other ones though. This is classic!

I like this style from K.Sparks. This is an upbeat banger to the contrary of his last releases. LOL..."kinda questionable like Rick Ross' past." Nice DJBOOTH shoutout! Angelous does sound like Jay-Z. Pretty ill. Almost as freaky as hearing N.O.E from the Byrdgang. This is a solid joint though. Much props!

Why is it that some rappers try to sound like Jay-Z? There’s one on Byrdgang and this one… it’s good to hear, but you’ll never get recognition like that. As for the song, production deserves props for the percussion effort: I can hear that in the background (I’m using earphones for a reason…). K. Sparks has good lyrics and delivery, a little more swagga and he’ll get recognition.
