K. Sparks’s new track, Dedication, contains two dead giveaways that let you know he has a background in freestyling. First of all, the kid can effortlessly string together dope rhyme after dope rhyme. Second, by the time each verse ends, you have no idea what the hell he’s talking about. Contrary to what you may expect, Dedication is not about his work ethic or his loyalty. Instead, the Queens rapper spends his three minutes on the mic jumping between broken storylines and factoids, all of which work fine by themselves but come together like a Mad Lib gone wrong. Skrazey’s hectic beat makes the song all that more busy. I can guarantee one thing: you will not get bored listening to Dedication, so put away your Adderall. Check out more K. Sparks on his upcoming album, Two Worlds (Oct.).
Yea this best is cool. Borderlining annoying after a while though. Turn up the bass on this one and it be cool. Too much treble for my liking. Sparks does it justice though, I do agree that he sounds like a Mc whos usta freestyling. This is cool for the most part. this must have been recorded days ago. I heard the R.I.P. to Bernie Mac on there. He will be missed.
Im really feelin the lyrics, good blurb to get me to pay extra attention. The sample singing in the beat is a little annoying, but still a pretty hot track. I like what I hear.
K. Sparks has sooooo much to say, I still didn't catch it all after 4 or 5 listens. And I had this for a week before we featured it. The production is sick; almost steals the show. My man continues to impress inside the Booth.
As always k. sparks comes with some GOOD music. I like the fact that he actually has something to say. Most artist rap about garbage, but sparks content and flow are what separates him from the rest, great job
Great beat and verses but that girl voice saying lalilaa in the background is annoyin to me, they should have put it only in some parts. It's in rotation but that sample really ruined the track to me, so I don't know if I'll listen to it again
This song is decent. Fam must've recently laid this down because I heard the RIP shout to Bernie Mac. This was good, but it was all over the place as stated in the review. I'll throw it in rotation though. Good messages.
I'm diggin this...I'm starting to feel that real music is starting to come back...It just has a good feel...Lookin forward to hearing more from this cat.
