“Hey, didn’t K. Sparks have a record about Magic featured back in August?” Indeed he did, and received rave Booth reviews for his trouble. Far from being a retread, however, newly-leaked cut Black Magic is proof the Queens native’s got no shortage of new tricks up his sleeve. This spellbinding banger finds D. Roof serving up a brassy jazz instrumental (sampled, I’ma guess, from some version of Ella Fitzgerald’s That Old Black Magic) as the Queens native spits verses characteristically jam-packed with wordplay and allusions. The real surprise, though, is who the headliner pulls out of his hat on the guest tip – Ahmad, the West Coast vet who recently made his comeback with The Death of Me, takes center stage on the front, showing off his downright magical knack for transitioning between gruff flows and silky-smooth sung vocals. The final chapter in Sparks’ acclaimed Trilogy has yet to receive a release date, but in the meantime fans can still stream and download the first (The Collaborations) and second (The Demonstration) from our very own mixtape page.

 Sparks has managed to pick and choose the perfect complement of Booth-featured (and favorited) artists to work with on his record. Add Ahmad, a recent freestyle series contributor, to that growing list. Love the vibe here - everything works real well and makes for an enjoyable listen.

I gotta say these guys really delivered on this track. Ahmad's voice and Spark's flow were top-notch stuff. The sample in the production was pretty cool as well.

Oh man from BEP to this, it is such a sweet sound to my ears! My hat goes off to D Roof, this prod is absolutely right down my alley! Sparks & Ahmad rip it up! Just wish Sparks had another verse.

K. Sparks did his usual. Though it's not as good as Bounce (lyrically) and wasn't as good as Go Get Em (production)in my opinion. Really looking forward to Chapter 3.

I'll be honest, the hype surrounding Sparks is so enormous it feels like people give his tracks nothing less than 4 stars to avoid being called crazy. I'm not a hater in ANY way, but I almost passed on this one. I immediately regret that thought ever passing my mind after I pressed play.

I've listened to this several times now and let in sink in. Beautiful, perfectly constructed, love everything about it. I listened in because of Ahmad, but the two of them balance so well.
