Manhattan keep on makin it, Brooklyn keep on takin it. Brooklyn has long been an epicenter for the hottest hip-hop in the world, and determined to carry on that proud tradition is K Bain. Making his DJBooth.net debut with Came a Long Way, K Bain drops his trademark street conscious style over live instrumentation courtesy of Amani Music Group, explaining just how far he’s come from running the streets of Brooklyn as a kid to becoming the musician and man he is. With degrees in African Studies, Sociology and Public Policy from (where else?) Brooklyn College, K Bain definitely has something to say. After all, isn’t that what rap is all about? Bain is currently working on his newest project, also entitled Came A Long Way, which is tentatively set for release this winter.

This bangs. Production isn't over the top, but allows Bain to highlight his slighty-faster-than-Loon-like flow. The hook could have used a cadence change-up, but rotation nonetheless.

this song reminds me what i heard some else say on here like hiphop tracks should have samples. dont get me wrong the beat isnt wack though. just could be better

The production sets a great mood for the track, and K.Bain sounds good coupled with the production as he flows nicely with it. The overall equation of Bain's flow and production is enjoyable ... Rotation fa sho!
