After three-and-a-half years and a few false starts, the one and only Juvenile is finally back in promo mode and ready to drop his eighth studio album! Still signed to UTP/Atlantic, Juve the Great has taken his time making Cocky & Confident, an album that will please both the street-hustling dudes and the ladies with one ear glued to the radio. On the official lead single, the New Orleans icon addresses a female he’s had his eye on ever since he was very young; now that they both are grown, he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get his “Hands On You.” Topped off with guest vocals from Atlantic labelmate Pleasure P and a synth/percussion heavy beat by Tick Tock, this is a track listeners of both genders are sure to enjoy (though some of the fellas might not want to admit it!) Can Juve sustain this universally-appealing blend for the length of an album? We’ll find out this fall, when Cocky & Confident hits stores.

"Back That Azz Up" this is not, but I'll be damned if anyone says this isn't catchy enough to work at radio. I understand Pleasure P's placement on the hook (because of label connects and a discount), but I think Joe would have killed it. Just saying...

the juvenile dragged out all his words annoyed me (especially in the 1st verse). and the hook was decent but didnt wow me. This just coulda been better overall

wasnt impressed w/Juve, but he was ight. on the other hand, P killed that chorus. i jus like hearin P's vocals cuz how smooth they r. he really bumped this song up for me. |

This is a banger because of the beat and Pleasure P, those outshined Juve. So for me it's because of that, he did ok.

Radio ready, generic type feel, what can I say? I'm not crazy about Pleasure P's voice. This relaxing production when juvie begans to spit, this can grow on me, I guess.

Im goin have to agree with ma boy Charm here. cuz the hook was a lil lackluster for me. But i like how he dragged the words out in the first verse. This song is most definitely radio ready. And with songs like "Alright", "Back Back", and "Hands On You", i actually WANT his CD. them songs BANG. HARD. 4.5 stars.

The thing is, when Juvenile, Ghostface, etc... are making these radio songs, they are actually legit. Beat and hook are your standard radio-ready elements and Juve actually sounds tight on this.

The best feature of this song is the production but I didn't really like how Juvenile sounds. I hate the autotune and the melody wasn't so catchy. Maybe it'll grow on me!

Pleasure P is quickly becoming one of the most in-demand hook singers around (behind the likes of Akon, T-Pain & Ne-Yo), this was another good performance from him.
The draggin out of the words drove me insane at first, though after a few more listens it grew on me. Overall, a good track from Juvenile though I dunno how much radio play this will receive 3.5 |

I am definitely anticipating this new Juvenile album. The beat on here is good. Juvenile's flow hasn't lost a beat. Pleasure P is surprisingly not that good on this track. It's not his singing voice, but it just isn't that hot...

This is a song i compare to Kiss Me Thru The Phone... In the sense that you really can put any decent rapper on it and its a banger, Definitely agree with most everyone else that the production is Hot and props to Pleasure P, he absolutely killed it.

This production is soooo cliche! It's almost annoying and the synths just drive me crazy, but the hook is decent. I do love P's smooth vocals. Juv does much better wit smooth late-90's style ladies jam production. His voice just doesn't sound right over all these synths to me.
