Though Juvenile‘s been largely absent from the music scene for the past two years, his fans remain as loyal as ever, as proven by the mainly positive reviews he earned with the recently-featured Back Back. Now, Juve’s back yet again, this time angling to earn a slice of the coveted crossover audience. This newly-released street single finds the New Orleans native ready to do whatever it takes to make a special lady feel Alright. Though Partners-N-Crime member Kango Slim contributes background vocals and NOLA rapper Jay Da Menace provides plenty of energy, C. Smith Productions is arguably the MVP on this record, mixing synths with some old-school, Mannie Fresh-style percussion and a Sinista-esque “al-al-allright” sample. With the proper backing, Alright is virtually guaranteed to receive heavy rotation—stay tuned to the Booth for more from Juve as he further develops his comeback strategy.

I'm glad to hear from Juvenile. But I want that old Juvenile back. (400 degrees) Manny (Fresh) needs to just give him all his beats!!! For real...

This is a tight track, he trying to reach a wider audience with this one, but im sure we all agree his old style is much better.

For the past few albums, Juve has clearly changed his direction toward radio hits and "Alright" follows that trend. It's nothing more than another high-energy, catchy song.
Anyone have the inside scoop on the Hot Boys reunion? |

This beat is pretty weak and the singing is pretty bad. This is not a good look for Juvenile! His flow kinda saves the track from being garbage, but still, its pretty bad.

Production is by far and wide the best part of this track ... Juve definitely saved this track but Jay didnt do half bad himself... maybe worth a couple listens ...

Heard better from Juvi, though it aint overly bad, production is decent & Juvi is average. A obvious attempt to get on the radio
Agree with J Worthy, get Mannie Fresh on the boards. |

A few things...
* The production steals the show hear - Mr. C. Smith I have my ear to your streets. * @JORDAN HUNG - It's not going to happen. * Don't get too hung up on this record being indicative of Juve's future. Its a solid throwaway street record. I'll throw it into rotation. |

I'm extremely biased since Juvenile is my favorite rapper and I love new orleans hip hop in general
that drag rap sample made me go nuts even though it was that big of a deal |
