That doesn’t change anything for the 99.9% of guys and gals in the Booth who have fallen for the rising soul star thanks to his past features, but that one-thousandth of one percent who have yet to be won over will have no choice but to become fans after hearing this new cut, one of two singles just released to Garner’s website. Backed by Vibin’Beats’ sultry blend of piano and synths, the singer/songwriter showcases more of the silky-smooth, sometimes soaring vocals that have made him a reader favorite, informing a special lady that their love is a foregone conclusion – they’re gonna be together and that’s that. I told Justin's manager this morning that I hate to make comparisons (they are never fair to the newer artist), but if you didn't know any better you'd think you were listening to an Usher clone.
When the right situation comes around... Justin Garner is one name you won't soon forget in the limelight. Excellent!

Justin Garner is just flat out amazing. He's had so many great songs! "Can't Breathe", his remake of Rihanna's song "Russian Roulette", and "Criminal", his latest booth entry until this new track "Like It or Not", and just as expected Garner keeps the streak going another amazing song! It's unbelievable that he's still unsigned. If he doesn't get signed soon, then somethin's definitely not right. But props to Justin Garner on another 5 star song!

Its been a while since I heard a slow jam this good from a male singer. Garner has some great vocals on him and the choice of production is top notch.

A real R&B SINGER?! Not a pretty boy who knows some dance moves?! Not a production-depending travesty!? :o No autotune gimmicks?!
You gotta be kidding me!!! In 2010?! Nah, this must have been done in the 90's, so that's it, there's the gimmick! Seriously now, Usher's vocals are overrated for me Z, so I'd say Justin's voice is even better! He actually reminds me of Robert from Day26, but a little smoother. First time hearing Justin, and he's definitely Top3 R&B singer right now (sit down Jason Derulo, I.Y.A.Z, Sean Kingston and alike... -_-)! And then the production?! Music like this isn't made anymore! Great man, thanx! Finally a "traditional" R&B jam. I love some "contemporary" too, but this type of sound shouldn't disappear! The percussion alone deserves one full listen to this and enjoy the build up. LISTEN! |

I have to say, I was a little surprised by this. I was expecting a pop-ish love ballad, but this is on a different level. Reminds me of some old school Mario, when he was at his peak. Goddamn, he torched this track. Like it or not, this track should be a smash, and Garner deserves all the success that's (hopefully) coming his way.

I'm sure, like most of the people who heard this track, it instantly took you back to the 90's. Shout to Garner for some REAL vocals, haha yesss. Especially since this release has a bunch of Hip-Hop-reviewing heads create their own version of a music video for this in a mirror close by(was that just me?) Hah, I'm kidding. Can't wait to hear more from him.

First off, I am not the biggest R&B fan, so for me to like the song completely, it has to be a dope track.
This song has been one of the best R&B songs i have listened to in a while. Its the first song in a while were it has its own style and flow, instead of sounding like another R&B joint that's on the radio 24/7. Looking forward to hearing more from him. |
